Story
I’m a small Jack Russell Terrier mix girl, around 6kg, with a beautiful leopard-patterned coat that everyone says is super charming. I was rescued while wandering the streets with my sister Seri, but even after all that, I’ve grown into one of the happiest, warmest little puppies you’ll ever meet. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and adjust quickly to new places and new friends. I’m very affectionate with people, too — call my name and I’ll run right over, or I might quietly tuck myself right beside your leg, just wanting to be close. Walks are my absolute favorite! I’m full of curiosity, so I love sniffing around, exploring new sights, and enjoying every moment outside. Even with all my excitement, I don’t pull or rush ahead, so walking with me is always pleasant and easy. Since I’m still a puppy, I’m learning my potty training skills, but I’m smart and quick to pick things up — I’ll get the hang of it with gentle, consistent teaching. I may be small, but I have a big, warm presence that melts hearts the moment you meet me. I’m waiting for the family who will love me forever and let me share my bright, curious energy with them. If you can give a cozy, loving home to a little girl full of wonder and affection, I’ll give you all the love in my tiny body in return. 💛 With love, Nerie 🐶✨

Story
Hi, I'm Vanilla! 🐶✨ A little lovebug with a big heart, ready to start a brand new chapter — maybe with you? I'm a 2-year-old girl, full of energy, love, and second chances. I didn’t always have it easy — I was left behind at an oyster factory in Tongyeong, forgotten and alone. Even after having four puppies, no one looked out for me… but that’s all in the past now. I was rescued, and ever since, I've been learning how beautiful life can be when you’re loved. Now I know how to trust, how to play, and most of all — how to love back. I’ve even picked up some smart tricks like “sit,” “paw,” and “go to your house!” Not bad, right? I’m super friendly and absolutely adore people — men and women alike. I haven’t met many young children yet, and since I’m pretty bouncy and energetic, I might do best with older kids who can match my vibe. Other dogs? LOVE them. I get excited to meet new furry friends and will happily introduce myself first! I haven’t met any cats yet, so I can’t say how we’d get along, but I don’t have any aggression or prey drive — I’m more about snuggles and zoomies than anything else. I’m still working on leash training, and I’m not totally used to living indoors yet, but I’m a quick learner. If you show me the way, I’ll follow. I’m a good girl with my barking, too — I might bark when someone new comes in or if I’m really excited, but if you say “no,” I usually settle down quickly. I love being touched, hugged, and cuddled, especially by women. I’ll even give you gentle hugs to show you how much I care. With male guardians, I’m respectful — if you’re not in the mood for snuggles, I’ll understand and give you space. I enjoy toys but I don’t destroy things in the house, and I’m not possessive over food or toys either. Sharing is caring, right? Health-wise, I’m in great shape — no major illnesses in my past, just a whole lot of resilience and a heart full of love. Now all that’s missing is a forever family. A warm home. A couch to cuddle on. A person — or people — who will never leave me behind again. Could that be you? I’m ready to be your joy, your companion, and your sunshine. Let’s write our story together. 💛 With love, Vanilla

Story
Hi, I’m Sarang. 🧡 I’m a 2-year-old boy, small enough to fit right into your arms at just 6kg. I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but people say I’m more like a tiny bundle of gentleness than a terrier. My story didn’t start easy. I was abandoned when I was just a baby and ended up in a shelter. I was even put on the euthanasia list… but someone saw me, believed my life mattered, and rescued me just in time. That’s why I’m here today — a little miracle with a very big hope for a family. Because I grew up in a small, crowded shelter, I learned to be careful with the world. I’m a bit shy and quiet when I meet new people. I like to keep a tiny bit of distance at first… just enough to feel safe. But once I realize someone is kind, patient, and gentle, I slowly open my heart. And when I open it, I really open it. I can take treats from your hand, lean into your arms, and show you affection I’ve kept tucked away for so long. I once stayed with a foster family for a short time, and they said I was an angel — calm in the car, easy to care for, and incredibly sweet. I’m living at a training center now, and I get along well with the other dogs. I try my best not to bother anyone, because that’s just who I am: small, polite, and quiet. I may be tiny, but inside me is a very soft heart that just needs a little time and a lot of love. I haven’t had many chances to experience the world yet, so I’m still learning how to show my feelings. But if I find a real family — someone who won’t rush me, someone who understands my slow pace, someone who will treasure my small but brave heart — I know I’ll bloom. I don’t need much. Just a patient hand. A warm lap. A home where I can finally relax. A family who will help me replace my early memories with new, happier ones. If you choose me, I promise to try my very best — day by day — to trust more, love more, and show you the sweet, gentle boy everyone keeps saying I am. Please adopt me, and let me learn what happiness truly feels like. I’m waiting for the person who will call me family. 🧡 — Sarang

Story
I’m a small Jack Russell Terrier mix girl, weighing about 6kg. I may be tiny, but my heart is incredibly big. My sister and I were rescued after wandering the streets at a very young age. Even though life was tough in the beginning, I never let it take away my bright spirit or my warm, loving nature. I love other dogs and make friends easily. Meeting new furry buddies is one of my favorite things, and I’m always gentle and friendly. I adore people even more — if our eyes meet, my tail starts wagging before I can even think about it! I just can’t help wanting to be close to you. I’m also a great walking companion. I match your pace beautifully and enjoy taking in the world around me with calm curiosity. Walks with me are peaceful, happy moments. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning my potty manners at home. But don’t worry — I’m smart, eager to please, and I pay close attention to my humans. With a bit of consistency and love, I’ll learn quickly. Above all, I’m a little girl who loves giving and receiving affection. My heart is warm, soft, and ready to belong to someone special. I’m waiting patiently — and hopefully — for my first and forever family. If you can give a small life like me a warm home and endless love, I promise to give you all of my heart in return. 💛 With love, Seri 🐶💕

Story
Meet Snow — A Gentle Terrier Mix Ready for a Fresh Start   Name: Snow Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 6.1 kg Height: 33 cm (shoulder height)     Rescue Story   Snow was rescued from a severe animal hoarding situation where over 230 dogs were kept together. With support from the City of Seoul, the dogs received spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, and AKR partnered to provide foster care and adoption support. Snow is one of these survivors — now safe, learning about the world, and ready to find a loving forever home.     Personality with People   Snow is very affectionate and friendly. He happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for pets, and enjoys human contact. He does well with both women and men. Although he hasn’t met children under 13 yet, based on his gentle nature, we believe he would do well with them. Snow can be comfortably lifted and handled, and he does great during grooming appointments as well     Socialization with Other Dogs   Snow is extremely dog-friendly and enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He is especially comfortable with dogs of similar size and tends to avoid conflict — even if another dog provokes him, he usually ignores it and walks away.     Cats   Snow has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.     Energy Level   Snow has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor time, and like many dogs rescued from hoarding situations, after about an hour of outdoor activity, he happily settles in for a long nap     ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   Because Snow had limited walking experience in the past, he may stop when something unfamiliar or scary appears. He will need consistent practice and patience, but he is easy to manage on leash and improves steadily with guidance.     Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding with people or other dogs • No signs of separation anxiety at present • Due to his background living in a group, mild separation anxiety may appear in a home without other dogs • Rarely barks • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty routines     Snow is a soft, gentle soul who is still learning what it means to live as a beloved family dog. With patience and love, he will make a wonderful companion   Currently in Korea Available for adoption to Canada & the U.S. Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram.  Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love.
