Meet Minnie, Mannie's sister! She's a 3-year-old Jack Russell mix who's already spayed and microchipped. She's up to date on everything. Minnie is super outgoing and will check you out while she's at it. She's really loving and just wants to give kisses. She's been playing in the yard with her brother for most of the morning. She's housebroken as long as you take her out when she needs to go, and she's even trained to use puppy pads. Minnie walks great on a leash and doesn't pull. She gets along well with people and other dogs, but heads up, she's also okay with cats. She will sniff them out like she does dogs and then go about her business. Honey, she is a bit shy and a little timid, but once she gets to know you, she loves to be loved and showered with affection and gentle strokes behind her ears. She and her sister Scout have grown up in the shelter. We pulled her from a high kill shelter when she was 8 months old and at risk of being euthanized. Now, she is 3.5 years old, and she continues to be overlooked. Honey weighs 45lbs, walks great on a leash, she is dog and cat friendly, not a barker, not quiet house trained, and continues to wait patiently, day after day for her forever home and family. We are smitten by this sweet girl and think you will be to, if given a chance. Honey will require a containment fenced yard because she frightens easily and her first instinct is to run, until she feels safe with her people. Meet Colby Jack! Colby is a happy 4 year old Jack RussellBoxer mix. Colby adores being with his people especially when he gets lots of cuddles. He leans into your leg when he's getting lovies and shows you his big smile! Colby enjoys hanging out with laid back dogs. He and his foster sister, Elly, enjoy rambling around the backyard finding new things to sniff. He weighs approximately 35lbs which is a good, manageable size for your lap!. He loves to play with humans but may be a bit too playful for toddlers or younger children. He’s crate trained but it is not his favorite place to be. He walks well on a leash and would make a great hiking or running buddy. Colby spent the first year of his life on a chain and has really blossomed into a very loving dog who craves attention. We think Colby would do best with a family that doesn't live in a congested area with lots of noise and has another dog to play with. He doesn't care for delivery trucks entering his domain or lots of strangers. Colby is very smart but craves attention and stong leadership, He really needs a strong pack leader to help him along his journey. . Meet Betty Betty is a gorgeous little Catahoula/Jack Russell/hound dog. She’s about two years old, weighing about 30 lbs. She has beautiful blue eyes, with a pretty coat of white with brown patches. Betty’s ears are in another stratosphere of adorableness. Love them! We don’t know Betty’s history. She’s a little shy, but once she feels safe, she is a love. She loves being with people and would be good with kids. She is easy to pick up, and she likes being cuddled like a baby. She is sweet and gentle, and starting to gain her confidence. Betty loves running and playing in the yards and a containment fence will be a must. She is apt to flee when feeling scared or when cars go by. She walks well on a leash, but she can frighten easily and will try and pull away from what scares hers. This should change once she feels safe and protected by her people. She likes other dogs and is very friendly towards them. We’ll test her with cats for potential adopters. Betty is not yet house-trained, but we think it will be easy for her to pick it up. She is very smart and eager to please. This girl is a gem. All she needs is some TLC and people who love her and will keep her safe.
