Story
Meet Sprig, a 7-month-old Jack Russell mix weighing in at 15 pounds of pure puppy charm! This sweet little girl has been friendly with the adults she’s met at the shelter and has already made a couple of small-dog friends, too. In fact, Sprig and her buddies have the cutest, fastest zoomies when they get together for a game of chase! At 7 months old, Sprig is still very much a puppy and will need a family ready to help her continue learning all the basics while giving her plenty of opportunities for play, exercise, and growing into her best doggy self. If you're looking for a small, sweet companion with a playful side, Sprig might just be your girl! Her minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
We can't have a Bonnie without a Clyde! Clyde was terrified at animal control, and he showed teeth to just about everyone. He LOVES other dogs, and quickly started to trust his foster mom. Sometimes, they just need patience and love. This is why foster families are SO important! Clyde was at risk of euthanasia due to his fear-based aggression. This poor little guy was just misunderstood. He is just 3-years-old, and he is a little plump at 12-pounds. We think he's likely a Chihuahua/JRT mix. Clyde must have another friendly dog in his forever home. He would be best in a family without young children. Someone who can continue to help him to trust strangers would be ideal. Clyde is good on a leash, in the car, likes to cuddle, and he likes to play. He is fine in a crate, but you have to let him come out on his own time. He is terrified if you try to pull him out manually. Can you help bring joy to a little lad like Clyde? If so, he promises to return that love in spades. Please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog His minimum adoption donation amount is $345. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. We are located in Bloomington, IL We do not ship, you would need to travel to pick up your babies if you live out of state. Your current pets must be up-to-date on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heart worm prevention year round. You must be at least 21-years-old to adopt. Please have your veterinarian and two non-family reference phone numbers ready. The app makes you start all over if you leave the page to look up numbers.
