UPDATED Post 02/16/26. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING US. PLEASE FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APP ON OUR (!) WEBSITE. Adorable Selah came to the Nest from a local animal shelter as a new born together with her 5 siblings and mom (miniature poodle/bichon) in September of 2025. She is a terrier mix and will be about 15(+) lbs. Selah is now 5 months old, very sensitive and smart, adventourous, playful, sweet,and affectionate. She is ready to take on the world with a loving humans by her side. We would love for her to go home with either one of her sisters (Helga, Katy) or where there is another pup close to her size and age. Right now Selah is still a blank slate — curious, playful, and learning fast. Her adopter should be ready for the joys (and challenges!) of puppyhood: crate training, potty training, chewing, and plenty of energy....As she grows, she will need daily exercise, ongoing engagement, and continued guidance to become her best self. Bringing home a puppy is exciting — a big responsibility! Puppies need structure, consistency, and lots of positive exposure to the world around them. Socialization, consistent training, and daily interaction are what shape them into confident, well-manneredand happy adults. We highly recommend working with a professional trainer also for the socialization aspect. Please note: someone must be home every 4 hours at this stage of development. Selah means a 13+ year commitment, so please think carefully and consider all aspects of your life before adding her to your home. For Selah we are looking for: a home with active people who can give her all the love, attention and training she needs to turn into happy and well mannered adult dog. We would like for her to go to a home where there is another sweet and playful dog about her size (not more than 20 lbs.) and age (up to 3 years is fine) - preferably male and we would like a securely fenced in yard (sorry, we don't do invisible fences). Well behaved, gentle children - preferably age 3+ - are fine. Katy is current on vaccinations including Rabies, she is dewormed, spayed and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $325.

Story
Sticks is a sweet 2-year-old Jack Russell who came from the same litter as her sister, Twigs. She’s an incredibly loyal dog who loves nothing more than being close to her humans — snuggling is absolutely her love language. She’s well-mannered in the house and only chews on her toys. Sticks does have one quirk: she isn’t a big fan of other dogs. While she can tolerate them at times, she can also become territorial, and her tension with her sister has been growing. Because of this, we believe Sticks will be happiest in a calm home where she can be the only dog and receive the solo attention she truly deserves. What she does love is adventure. Sticks is an energetic, outdoorsy girl who’s always up for a hike, walk, or run — you name it. She regularly ranks as one of the top Jack Russells on the Fi leaderboards for daily steps in the whole state, and she would thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting outside.
