Story
I am a federal employee who lost my job and I find that I'm no longer able to keep Jack since I'm couch surfing and he is making it difficult for me to find places to live. I have had him for 5 and 1/2 years and got him when he was 3, I got him from a resuce group in Flagstaff, Arizona. He had ended up there after his previous owner died. The resuce group saved him from a shelter where he was going to be euthanized. He does very poorly in a shelter situation and becomes comatose with stress which is why I do want to give him up to one of those places. He has a little bit of a Jack Russel attitude and unfortunately does like to chase cats, though he lived with a cat for 4 years without any problems. He is a sweet and cuddly little guy who is very dedicated to his people. He doesn't have any negative traits like running away or chewing and has no issues with urinating or defecating in the house, though he might mark in a building that has had dogs in it before.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Max — the 5-year-old Jack Russell with the energy of a toddler hopped up on espresso and the job dedication of a mall cop. Max LOVES tennis balls. Like… LOVES-loves. If tennis balls had a fan club, he’d be the president, chairman, and treasurer. He will also proudly collect every single “gumball” (aka mystery yard treasures) he finds outside and present them to you like he’s bringing rare artifacts from an archaeological dig. Max has a thing for talking to cats. Not chasing — he’s far too polite for that. He just likes to narrate their existence. Think of him as their tiny motivational speaker who occasionally forgets his inside voice. But truly, he’s been respectful of the kitties in his foster home and mostly just likes to sass from a safe distance. He’s been great with dogs of all sizes and vibes — from chill couch potatoes to the zoomie-enthusiasts. Max loves to patrol the yard like a security guard on his third round of the night. If there’s a leaf, a squirrel, or a suspicious breeze… don’t worry, Max has already filed a full report. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with charm, comedy, and the spirit of a tiny sheriff, Max is your guy.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2025, 6:01 pm

Story
Spot is personality and then some. He is not only adorable, but he is also high energy, loving, and playful. Spot came to us as a stray from PG County. He is engaging, fun, and as cute as a button! Spot gets his name from the spots down his back. He is white with black spots, and he is also marked by his perky ears, his fun-loving nature, and his interest in getting attention from everyone. Spot loves people and other dogs too (we don't know about cats or children yet). He does not seem to know basic commands yet, but he iis treat motivated and will likely learn quickly. Spot is new to PAW, so we will update his profile as we learn more about him. ##2619250##
