Story
Georgie is a 12 lb Terrier mix, only 5 months old, and will get bigger.  She hasn't been well socialized as a puppy and takes time to warm up to people--needing to meet each person one at a time in order to trust them.  But once she does, she's in your lap and taking all the attention you can give her!  She needs a quiet home, preferably as the only dog, but could get used to another small dog that is friendly and easy-going.  She is fine with cats.  We don't think she would do well with children.  She seems to be housebroken, only having trouble holding it for 12 hours, overnight here at HART.  Georgie would make a great companion dog for a retired person, as she just wants to be in someone's lap and be a special companion to some lucky person. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. To fill out an online application to adopt this pet, cut and paste this link:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/2627/generic Or you can find a link to our online adoption application on our website at www.hartforanimals.org/adopt - or on our Petfinder homepage.  We process applications in the order they are received, therefore, it could take UP TO 2 weeks for us to respond to your application. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs/puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home. ##1820855##
