Melvin loves other dogs and is very social with new people...he just loves every one. Melvin is house trained and crate trained. And he is looking for his FOREVER HOME. Is it you? My name is Biscuit. According to the veterinarian, I am one year old and I weigh 18 lbs. I'm a stocky little fellow, a little on the chunky side. I am neutered, up today on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative . I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Because my owners are gone so long during the day, I am puppy pad trained. I will potty outside though if taken out. I am good with other dogs and children. I have been around toddlers and infants. I'm not sure about cats because the rescue does not have any. I will bark at a cat if I see one, but will stop barking after a few minutes. I love to play fetch and will bring back to you whatever you throw. I also love belly rubs and will roll over on command for one. I come when I'm called and I know how to sit. I will also walk on my hind legs for a treat. I walked on a leash for the first time for my video. As you can see, I did pretty good. I am very smart and I learn quickly. I love to be with people! I will follow my owner around the house and will snuggle up in the chair with him in the evening. I am very curious and attentive as to what my people are doing. I have I submissive temperament and a happy personality! I am well behaved in the house. I don't try to get in the trash or chew anything up. I have a medium energy level. Slick has all the drive you could want for drive sports and is in all ways a true terrier. 3-year-old Black and White neutered male Jack Russell Terrier. Slick was surrendered because he would redirect on his housemates during high-arousal times (playing with toys in the yard, people coming to the door, feeding time, etc.), resulting in a few multi-Jack Russell dog fights and stitches on 3 occasions. Other than that, he is a truly nice little terrier who is completely tug and ball obsessed. He is neutral to other dogs on leash, and was reported by the owners to be dog-selective, generally preferring to interact with people. He is good with all humans of all types, has experience going to dog sport events (agility trials and JRT racing), and would display the same arousal leaking issues there if not managed. If managed with food and training he did fine. HIGH food and toy drive. Great snuggler once his needs are met. Will play literally anytime, anywhere. Will not quit. We recommend he be the only dog. He is still working on housetraining but making good progress.
