Story
Bonnie is a 2-year-old Jackabull (Jack Russell/Pit Bull mix) with a heart that truly belongs to her person. She is incredibly sweet, deeply loyal, and thrives on close human companionship. Bonnie isn’t just a dog — she’s the kind of companion who wants to be by your side, on your lap, or cuddled up next to you on the couch whenever possible. Bonnie would do best as the only dog in the home, as she is insecure around other dogs and tends to resource guard her human, who she views as her greatest treasure. Because of this, she is also best suited for a home without young children. A calm, adult household — such as an older couple, a widower, or anyone looking for a devoted, one-on-one companion — would be ideal for her. She is fully housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and is up to date on all vaccines. Bonnie is food-motivated, which makes her eager to please and easy to work with using positive reinforcement. While she is not crate trained, she is accustomed to being on furniture and loves nothing more than being close to her human at all times. Bonnie handles routine care very well. She allows nail trims with gentle talking and slow movements, is comfortable having her teeth checked, and tolerates full physical handling for regular health inspections. Her affectionate nature, combined with her loyalty, makes her an incredibly rewarding companion for the right home. Bonnie has so much love and joy to give — she’s looking for someone who will treat her like family and cherish the unconditional devotion she offers in return. Apply today to adopt Bonnie. Story
**Now fostered in Truxton, NY** If you are looking for a tiny queen with a spunky personality and amazing agility skills, then look no further than our bitty friend, Bambi! We believe Bambi is a chihuahua mix who is 5 years old and approximately 25 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. She’s a certified Texas Special, a mix of random breeds that created the best dog! Rescue is the best breed! Watch Bambi in action in here: https://youtu.be/2_n3tL3izY8?si=2MCNVAV5GmXcfkav So one thing about Bambi is that she is QUEEN B. She likes all the love and affection to go straight to her. Belly rubs? Hers. Ear scratches? Hers. Treats? All hers! Bambi is dog friendly and loves to play! She's all about play wrestling, play chase with her dog friends around the yard, and bringing bouncy fun playful energy to the yard. Whether she's tumbling with a buddy or zooming across the grass in a bouncy game of tag you're it, she's happiest when the vibes are silly and all about that fun. Some of her best friends are confident dogs that will rough house with, body bump, wrestle to the ground, and it's so entertaining to watch. In a home, she would do best with a confident friend that loves to play, enjoys those wrestling matches, is up for a game of chase, and knows when to take play breaks on their own. So if you're searching for a pup that will satisfy your current dog's playful energy and wanting that playtime entertainment in the backyard, Bambi is definitely your gal. If you don't have other dogs, no need to worry! Bambi's love is boundless and her personality is out of this world that she will be all you need. Bambi also did great when she met some cats on the property! She wanted to sniff them and tried to initiate play, lol. If she were to be in a home with a cat, it would definitely need to be a dog savvy feline who doesn’t mind the occasional puppy sniffs! She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! If you have a young child and are curious to know how she is, please feel free to let us know and we will check it out for you! It’s very clear that Bambi is a super smart girl! She has the potential to do so many cool things if you spend the time to try to teach her! The staff at 3lp couldn’t stop raving about how people oriented she is! We can’t forget to tell you— the other cool thing about Bambi is how quick she is at learning tricks! The behavior team here at Three Little Pitties believes that she would make an excellent dog to train for trick sports and other cool games! You will see in her video how good she is at going after toys! She is very affectionate and will look forward to couch cuddling moments with you! She has the best little smile and the most scratchable ears! She is going to make someone out there very happy! Does Bambi sound like your girl? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
