She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
