Pookie came to us in an interesting way. I wish I could say that her story was unique. Uncommon. But unfortunately it's not. Pookie was picked up running in the street by the UPS man and brought to a local vet. His words , if you don't take her I'll just have to put her back out on the street. Ofcourse they didn't hesitate. As it turns out she had an old foot injury ( small break ) that had already started to heal. Two days later she broke with parvo. This girl is a SURVIVOR!!!! And do you think her tail stopped wagging for one second ????? NO! It's impossible to break her spirit. She has continue to th dove as she recovered from parvo, had a cast for 6 weeks and is now with her amazing foster mom Lori. She goes to work with her on occasion and on the days she doesn't, she is so excited to go back she can hardly contain herself . Pookie is happy! She is smart! She is kennel trained. She is leash trained. She is such a bright spot in our day and we are so blessed our paths crossed and we were able to help her! She's ready now for her new forever family.
