Eddie's life has been rough considering he was found laying next to an abandoned house in South Texas unable to move when SNARR rescued him. After much veterinary treatment he has regained almost all of his mobility. He can walk up stairs and run around the yard like a champ! Eddie gets along with other dogs very nicely. And would love a home with a fur or human sibling to run around with. He really enjoys playing with his active Australian cattle dog foster brother, they both have similar energy. And boy does he know how to cuddle, he has even mastered sleeping in his dog bed upside down. Eddie has not pottied in the house even once since arriving to his foster home. He was a frustrated firecracker that needed to get out and go go go!! Hop has made great canine friends here! He gets to burn off his little dog terrier energy marching along darting about tracking scents, on solo or group hikes.. in the woods jumping over logs, leaping and yes, hopping... playing chasing games with his buddies in the large grass yards and definitely getting his full share of that wonderful game, enjoyed by humans and canines alike, FETCH!!! Hi, my name is Sandy. Some call me Super Sandy because I am such a great girl. Others call me Sheriff Sandy, as I have made it my job to patrol the yard when I hear a noise. We have a nice fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and a doggie door in the back door. That makes it very easy for me to do my self-appointed job. Only a few weeks ago, I was a homeless girl abandoned in a neighborhood behind a veterinary clinic. This nice lady took me to the vet. They agreed to help me and let me stay there. After my photo session for my online post, the staff called Critter Cavalry. Now I am the lucky one enjoying life in a wonderful foster home. It is amazing how quickly things can change. When I am not on patrol, I enjoy time with my foster brothers and sisters. We have lots of room to play outside and room inside to relax. I am fitting right in. Not long after I arrived, my foster mom came home with a little scruffy boy who was also abandoned. We shared our stories and became fast friends. He has been adopted. Now it is my turn. I would love an active family that spends time outdoors. It would also be great if they had children and another dog for me to play with. Since I do like to patrol, a fenced-in yard is a must. I also tend to bark when I hear noises. Because of that, apartment life is definitely not for me. I ride well in the car and walk ok on a leash. I could use a refresher course in that. He' got a typical Jack Russell personality - he likely will want to be in charge if you let him. With consistent limits and lots of love, he's a great companion and a cuddle-bug. Levi will do best as an only dog, although he possibly could do well with a small dog, with proper introductions. We always do a meet and greet to make sure that everyone's happy with each other. He doesn't like large dogs. He needs an adult home or one with teenaged children 16+ years old. He also needs an active family who can give him daily physical exercise, as well as stimulating his brain - he's a very smart boy! We don't normally require a fenced yard, but Levi really does need a securely fenced yard. He's a wonderful dog who will do well with structure as well as lots of love!
