Boots came to us as a stray with some pretty severe skin issues, and while we’re still working with a dermatologist to get to the bottom of it, he’s been an absolute trooper through it all. Boots is currently on a special diet to help manage his skin and digestive health—and he’ll need to stick with it in his forever home. He’s also heartworm positive, but don’t worry—he’s already received his ProHeart-12 injection and is undergoing treatment. A recheck in nine months will make sure he’s on track to recovery. Boots McGee is a quirky little guy who takes his time warming up to new people, but once he knows you, he’s loyal, sweet, and full of love. He’s not a fan of other animals—he has a high prey drive and would do best as the only pet in a calm, adult-only home where he can truly thrive. He isn’t house-trained yet and could use some help with leash manners, but he’s food-motivated and eager to bond with his person. His ideal match?
