Story
I am Frost part of the "Famous Jacks" litter, and we are new to rescue. My foster mama is getting to know me but this is what she says about me just after a few days. She says I'm very smart girl and am learning housebreaking meaning I am going outside to do my business but she also says "Good Girl" when I go on puppy pads in the house and not on the floor. She says I'm adorable and that I just want to follow her everywhere. At 5 lbs, 9 weeks old, I'm very small but my mom "London" is Jack Russel mix, medium size, and they say I have Norwegian Elkhound in me so not sure how big I will be 35-45 lbs? Just a guess! Working on potty training and working on crate training. My foster mama says I like to be held and that I'm the cutest. Nicholson, Kennedy and Robinson are some of my siblings and they live with me so come meet them too. Please check back for updates from my foster family. Story
Meet London, a young Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs about 31 lbs. She is the mama to the Famous Jack litter and is ready to find her forever home! She is a gentle, sweet, friendly, affectionate girl. She is one smart girl and is already working on her manners such as sit and stay. She responds very well to positive reinforcement but is also food motivated which can make training easier. She IS HOUSETRAINED and walks very well on a leash to do her business outside. London shows a lot of interest in being outside and will sometimes lay by the front door and is right there as soon as one of us heads for the door. In general she is a medium energy dog - London is eager to go outside whenever you are but she is not annoying about it. She is also content to sleep the work day away on her bed. She has shown interest in enrichment toys as well as fetch and tug which can help burn off energy. She has met several dogs and did well with both large and very small, as well as the chaos of the Mutt Strut event. London has a moderately high prey drive and showed too much interest in an office cat, so she should not go to a home with cats or other "prey" like animals. So far with birds and squirrels on the walk she shows a lot of interest and does short hops towards them but does not excessively drag or pull to get at them. London slept in a crate the first few nights but was not very happy about it - she whined for a few minutes before settling down. After that we let her sleep outside of the crate on her dog bed in our room where she was a very good dog and much happier.London is very tolerant and slightly timid in nature so she should do fine with kids as long as they give her time and space to adjust if they are high energy. Older kids who would take her for extra walks or maybe jogging would be a boon but not necessary. She is also very accepting when it comes to doggy hygiene activities - we can play with her paws, clean her ears and brush her teeth.Don't let this gem get away - Apply and ask to meet her right away! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about London on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet her today!!
