📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Waltz was rescued from the Busan City Shelter. After leaving the shelter environment, she transitioned into foster care, where her thoughtful and expressive personality has become more visible with time and trust. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Waltz prefers calm and respectful interactions. She does not like dogs that rush toward her suddenly. With polite, cautious dogs, she may occasionally greet and coexist peacefully, but she is selective about canine interactions. She is generally wary of cats and is not expected to coexist comfortably with them. With children and adults, she shows no aggression or dislike. When encountering people on walks, she tends to remain neutral and uninterested rather than reactive. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Waltz follows an outdoor-focused potty routine. If she needs to go indoors, she reliably uses the bathroom area or a pee pad placed inside the bathroom. She does not have accidents elsewhere indoors. She enjoys walks and handles daily routines calmly and predictably. 🏡 Habits & Training Waltz enjoys being petted. Although she may be shy around unfamiliar people at first, once she receives a few gentle strokes, she warms up quickly and shows her affection—making soft, happy sounds and wagging her tail. She does not prefer close sleeping contact with people. Instead, she chooses to rest near her person’s feet or, after receiving enough affection, moves to her own preferred sleeping spot. She is smart and expressive, clearly communicating her needs, such as asking for pets or play. 💛 Likes & Personality Waltz enjoys gentle affection, playing fetch, and communicating with her people in her own clear, endearing way. She is independent yet emotionally expressive, offering affection on her own terms. She is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation Customs and export documentation Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
Meet Khloe! This little Maltese lady somehow looks like a literal baby doll. Khloe spent her ENTIRE life with one family, but as time passed, kids grew, and Khloe aged, they felt they could no longer care for her. So here she is, starting over in her golden years. It’s easy to see that her heart is a bit broken, but she's settled into her foster home beautifully. Khloe's foster mom describes her as the sweetest, gentlest, most demure and unassuming little princess. A true sleeping beauty, she happily curls up and naps the majority of each day. Initially a bit hesitant about venturing into the yard, she now enjoys sniffing around and exploring. She’s a picky eater but has made her preferences clear: Greenies, string cheese, and fish are excellent. Kibble, canned food, and meds? Absolutely not. Freeze-dried food remains under consideration. Also, it is very important for her to bury her food with her nose before eating it. Makes it taste better. Khloe is pee-pad trained and making great housetraining progress, sleeps straight through the night, and is happiest buried under a mountain of blankets. She doesn’t do stairs, isn’t into walks just yet (maybe when it’s warmer), and has never been crate trained ~ but when left alone, she simply curls up on her bed and has a good snooze while she waits for her humans to come back. She would prefer not to be picked up if it's avoidable. Khloe would do fine with another small, calm dog or cat. She could also live with older children (maybe 8+) who are calm and gentle around her. She is a bit of a mimic, so if your other dog likes to bark, she will join in with the song of her people. Khloe has hypothyroidism and, like many white fluffy royal pups, struggles with allergies that haven’t been well controlled. She's also working her way through possible pancreatitis for now. We’ve already started her on a fresh, allergy-friendlier diet and we’ve given her a proper medicated spa bath (which she handled like the quiet, gentle angel she is). Add a brand-new sweater and she’s serving soft reboot. This quiet, sweet girl deserves all the love and all the soft sweaters. She is looking for a calm, patient home that will let her move at her own pace and remind her that she is safe, loved, and home again. Khloe is approximately 12 years old and 9 lbs. He seems to be energetic and active and a bit mouthy so he would not do well with young children. Newton is an active, happy, playful dog that gets along well with his new foster brothers.  He is an amazingly affectionate dog. He seems to want to and will climb into your lap to be close to you.  He like to be in touch with his people either on the lap, next to and touching on the couch, and very close in bed at night with his warm body. We had an animal communicator do a reading on Newton.  What we think from this encounter that Newton is missing his family.  We think something happened to his owner and a caregiver may have let Newton go astray.  His condition would indicate that he was long overdue for required grooming.    WHEN AN APPLICATION TO ADOPT IS APPROVED WE BRING NEWTON TO THE HOME VISIT AND MEET AND GREET, AND IF ANOTHER ANIMAL A SNIFF TEST.  WE DO NOT PLACE DOGS ON THIS VISIT. WE RETURN IF THERE WILL BE AN ADOPTION WHEN EVERYONE IS PREPARED TO ADOPT.  WE ONLY TRAVEL UP TO A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD TO PLACE ANIMALS. Story
Melbourne makes an entrance. This 14-lb, 4-year-old Maltese mix is jaunty, goofy, and packed with personality. He’s got bubble eyes, a confident little strut, and the kind of expressive face that suggests he’s always in on the joke. Melbourne likes people, gets along with other dogs and cats, and appreciates a quiet home where he can take a little time to warm up and settle in. Once he does, he’s loyal, charming, and endlessly entertaining. He enjoys using his voice from time to time, so apartments or close-quarters living aren’t the best fit. What is a great fit? Someone who loves a small dog with big expressions, playful confidence, and a cheeky spark. Melbourne is ready to steal hearts — possibly yours. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system.
