This adorable 8-year-old Maltese mix weighs in at about 8 pounds of soft, white fluff and big personality.Janie is a happy little companion who loves being near her people. She’s affectionate and attention-seeking, but doesn’t need to be in your lap 24/7 — just being close by makes her content. She enjoys walks, tasty treats, playtime with her stuffy toys, and of course, her humans.She’s housebroken for the most part, crate trained (though she likes to chat for a bit before settling in), and walks well on a harness. She’s also a great car passenger, though she prefers a helping hand getting in.Janie enjoys being playful around other dogs, but she can get protective of her food and her people. Because of that, she’d likely do best as an only dog, where she can soak up all the love and attention she craves.If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little companion who’ll bring joy and personality to your home, Janie might just be your perfect match!If you’d like to take Janie home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
This is Winter (the smaller one) 5lbs her brother is Sonny 10lbs. They are Maltese. Both 2 years old. Sweet babies. Easy to teach. Winter has a little anxiety that can be fixed with being socialized more with other dogs and humans. Dogs have not been trained. They are not fully house broken. I am a firefighter who works 24 hour shifts and they cannott be left home long hours without being walked. It has become a lot on me, now that I am a single parent to two children. I would love to rehome them both together because they do everything together, but if you can get Winter, I can rehome Sonny after. Thank you
