Story
We are OBSESSED with Zeppy! Just look at this little man. Need we say more? Okay, fine… we’ll tell you about him. 😍🐾Meet Zeppy—known to his friends as Zepbound, because he’s bound to steal your heart! At 10 years old and just 10 pounds, this sweet, snuggly boy is happiest curled up on a comfy couch with his favorite toys and his people close by. 💙He’s a low-key little guy who gets along with everyone, including kids, and enjoys the company of other mellow dogs. He just appreciates a little personal space—being trampled on isn’t his idea of a good time!Zeppy feels comfortable in his crate, where he also enjoys his meals separately from other pets. He’ll need some patience and help with house-training, and while he can be anxious when his people first leave, he usually settles down. A family who understands his gentle pace and gives him time to adjust would mean so much to him.Zeppy does have a heart murmur, so his forever family will need to keep his health needs in mind alongside all those well-deserved snuggles!Could you be the person this little man is Zep-bound to find? 💕To apply to have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport, please visit our website at https://longwayhome.org/adopt.❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.

Story
Meet Khloe, short for Klonopin, a tiny 14-year-old, 7-pound dose of sweetness. Possible side effects of Khloe include warm laps, cozy naps, excessive cuteness, and becoming completely obsessed with this precious senior girl. 🐾Khloe gets along with dogs, cats, and children. She uses pee pads and will often let you know when she needs to go outside, although she may occasionally have an accident if she can’t reach the pad in time. At night, she may lick your face, become restless, or stand near the edge of the bed to tell you she needs a potty break. Consider it your gentle, four-legged wake-up call! ⏰🐶Her favorite sleeping spot is beside her person, and she would happily share the bed with you. If you prefer a little more space, a cozy dog bed next to yours should also keep her content. During the day, she sometimes wanders into an open dog kennel for a nap, so she seems to view it as her own safe and comfortable retreat.Khloe’s main challenge is separation anxiety. She becomes distressed and barks when left alone, so her ideal adopter would be retired, work from home, or be able to include her in daily outings. Her prescription is simple: stay close, provide plenty of comfort, and administer love as often as possible! 💗Khloe is low energy, easygoing, and doesn’t require much exercise. She wants nothing more than a soft place to rest and a person who will keep her close.Think this sweet senior could be just what the doctor ordered? Apply to adopt Khloe and get your daily dose of love!To apply to have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport, please visit our website at https://longwayhome.org/adopt.❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
