Story
Meet Darnie A gentle, easygoing pup who enjoys the company of other dogs. ➡️Darnie is in Korea and will be coming to the U.S. once his adoption is confirmed 💜Rescue Story Darnie was rescued from a shelter in June 2026 after being scheduled for euthanasia. He arrived with another small dog who had a skin condition. During his time at the shelter, Darnie was often seen playing gently with smaller dogs and puppies. His kind nature and considerate interactions with other dogs caught the attention of his current foster, who brought him to safety and welcomed him into a foster home. 🐶Personality Darnie is calm, gentle, and mild-mannered, with a moderate energy level. He is smart, enjoys food, and responds well to treats, making reward-based training a promising fit for him. 💜Interaction With People Darnie can build trusting relationships with women, men, and children, though he needs time to feel comfortable with new people. He tends to warm up to women more quickly. When men approach slowly and gently, he may accept treats even at the first meeting. With children, Darnie is curious but initially cautious about being touched. After accepting a treat from one child, he chose to sit nearby. His daycare teacher reports that he has met her child many times and has never nipped or growled. Gentle introductions and respect for his space will help him gain confidence. 🐶Interaction With Other Dogs Darnie does very well with other dogs. He attended daycare three times a week for four months, meeting dogs of many sizes, including Standard Poodles, Maltese, and Chihuahuas. He approaches other dogs gently and gets along well with both large and small companions. 🐈Interaction With Cats Darnie has not been formally introduced to cats, so his compatibility with them is unknown. He has shown curiosity and tried to approach a cat he saw outdoors. 🐕‍🦺Walks and Leash Manners Darnie walks comfortably on a leash and matches his foster’s pace without pulling. He follows along well and has not shown a tendency to resist returning home or insist on taking a different route. After potty breaks, he sometimes adds a little personality to his walk by kicking his back legs! 😊Potty Training Darnie is comfortable going potty outdoors and using pee pads indoors. He prefers outdoor potty breaks but reliably uses a pad at home. 💜Barking Darnie is very quiet in his current foster home. He has not been observed barking at strangers and typically communicates his needs with a soft whimper. 💜Crate Training Darnie is making good progress with crate training. He willingly enters his crate for meals and treats, and sometimes checks inside on his own to see whether a snack is waiting. 🐕Escape Behavior Darnie has not attempted to escape while in foster care. He may shy away from unfamiliar people, so patient introductions and secure handling will help him feel safe as he adjusts to a new home. 🦴Food and Toys Darnie has shown no food aggression or resource guarding. He is easygoing around toys and other belongings and often lets other dogs take them. 🏠Behavior at Home Darnie has not shown destructive behavior in his foster home. He plays appropriately with the toys provided to him. 💜Separation Anxiety No signs of separation anxiety have been observed. Darnie can wait quietly on his own, sometimes watching the front door. He also stayed at a pet hotel for six days, where he ate and slept well. 🛁Grooming and Handling Darnie tolerates baths and nail trims well. Although bathing is not his favorite activity and he may shift away slightly, he remains cooperative, allowing grooming sessions to be completed quickly. 💕Ideal Home Darnie would do well with a patient family who will give him time to settle in and build trust. A home with a yard would be a bonus because he prefers outdoor potty breaks, though he also uses pee pads indoors. He could be a wonderful companion for another friendly dog, whose presence may help him feel comfortable as he adjusts. With his gentle personality, quiet nature, and lovely manners around other dogs, Darnie has so much to offer a loving family. ➡️If you are interested in Darnie, please visit https://gracebridgekorea.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application.

Story
Meet Dahaeng! *Dahaeng is in Korea and will be coming to the U.S. once her adoption is confirmed. 🐶Rescue Story Dahaeng was found wandering around an apartment complex while pregnant. She later gave birth to six puppies near the apartment garden. Although she was wearing an old collar, her rescuer was unable to locate her previous owner. Dahaeng and her puppies were moved to a temporary foster space at an old factory site. Despite the difficult circumstances, she was a devoted mother who cared diligently for all six of her babies. Five of her puppies have since found loving homes. Dahaeng is now staying with her remaining son, Taeyang, while they each wait for a forever family. 💜Personality Dahaeng is a calm, gentle, and patient girl. She can be shy and reserved when meeting someone for the first time, but she begins to open up once she feels safe. She enjoys spending time with people and loves receiving gentle affection. When someone cuddles her lovingly, she relaxes and may even roll over to show her belly. Dahaeng is the kind of dog who forms a deep, trusting bond with the people who care for her. 💜Interaction With People Dahaeng enjoys human companionship and likes being cuddled. Although she may initially seem a little aloof, she becomes affectionate and comfortable once trust has been established. . 💜Interaction With Dogs Dahaeng is calm and well-mannered around other dogs. When she previously shared a backyard with another dog, she showed no aggression, respected the other dog’s boundaries, and lived peacefully alongside them. She also gets along very well with her son, Taeyang. 💜Interaction With Cats Dahaeng has not lived with cats, so her behavior around them is currently unknown. 💜Walking and Training Dahaeng enjoys calm walks where she can take her time sniffing and exploring. She does best in quiet, low-stimulation environments. She has experience living in both indoor and outdoor settings and is expected to adjust well to a consistent home routine. 💜Potty Training Dahaeng reliably uses designated potty pads indoors. With patience and a regular schedule, she is expected to transition quickly to outdoor potty training. 💜Barking Dahaeng is generally quiet and barks only occasionally. She may bark at unfamiliar noises when her rescuer is visiting, but she quickly settles when a trusted person is nearby. 💜Energy Level Dahaeng has a moderate energy level. She does not become overly excited and is happy to relax quietly indoors after enjoying her walks. 💜Ideal Home Dahaeng would thrive in a calm, peaceful home with a patient family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel secure. In return, she will offer deep affection, trust, and loyal companionship. This sweet and devoted mother is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a loving family of her own.
