** Current location: at a private shelter in South Korea ** Meet Liam👋 Liam was found in the mountains with his littermates when he was just 3 months old, and was rescued right before the scheduled euthanasia. He’s been living at the shelter ever since, and sadly hasn’t had a single chance to be fostered. With his adorable freckles, Liam is patiently waiting for a chance to finally experience the comfort of a loving home and a warm meal🙏 • Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Friendly Liam doesn’t shy away from new people—even adult men! He absolutely loves being around all the volunteers and getting affection. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’ll melt your heart with his cuddly nature and the way he asks for pets😍 / His energy level is moderate! He plays gently with toys without destroying them and knows how to rest quietly in his own space without showing signs of separation anxiety. • Affinity with - Dogs: He gets along really well with dogs who share a similar play style, but may have minor squabbles with those who don’t match his play style. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / Not tested with kids • Walking Manners: Although his walking experience is limited due to life at the shelter, he follows the handler’s lead well and walks calmly on a leash! • Housetrained: He will need some time and guidance with house training as he adjusts to a home environment. He will probably prefer the outdoors once he has regular walks. • Bathing/Brushing: For brushing and baths, he’s super cooperative—he stays close and makes it easy! • Car Sickness: Not tested • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: He may bark when he hears unfamiliar or sudden sounds, as they can startle him. • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 6 • Likes/Dislikes: He lives for pets and cuddles! • Health: A healthy pup!

Story
Meet Honey! Fostered in east TN, Athens TN! Out of state welcome. Transport available to areas northeast or Great Lakes and is included in the adoption fee as stated here on adopt a pet. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best. Meet Honey! This sweet little girl is a hot mess right now with her skin. She was so severely infested with fleas. She has scratched herself raw and has some hairloss. Rest assured she is feeling better now after being tested for fleas and getting relief from the itching. Her coat should come back full and pretty. She’s a tad shy at first meet but doesn’t take very long to warm up to new people. She is reserved and a bit independent which is typical of the breed. If you think she is cute that’s great but be sure to read up on the common traits of Chows. They aren’t typically cuddly lap dogs they can sweet natured but they don’t crave to be petted as much as other dogs. They are also not all aggressive as rumor has it. This girl is not aggressive at all. She does great with the other dogs, she would do best in a home with older teenage to young adult children simply because she is weary and shy around lots of activity. She is very confident at the same time she is shy. It’s a strange combination but she shows behaviors that tell us once she is comfortable she is going to be a confident girlie. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on flea and tick preventives as well as heartworm preventives. She is only 33 lbs and will not get any bigger. We believe she is about two years old. She is crate trained and potty trained too. Her ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, older teenager or young adult kids no small children, active or non active family that understands her breed needs of being independent. She seems to be fine with other dogs that respect her space and doesn’t seem to need a doggie companion but would do ok with one. Please apply at pet path.org
