Story
Loween is an (estimated) seven year old male Jindo (possibly mixed with something else). We adopted him nearly six years ago when another family had passed him up. His breed is known to be highly intelligent and loyal, traits that have been passed down to Loween! His breed is also known as a primitive dog breed, which means he has high prey drive and can be stubborn. When he's not busy sprinting at full speed outside or chasing squirrels, he loves being indoors and being close to his favorite humans. Unfortunately, our household has grown a lot (i.e. added three boys) in the last few years and Loween would do better in a quieter home with someone who can give him the time and attention that he deserves. He is house trained, very clean but does shed twice a year. He has the tendency to pull on the leash, although that's become better with time and training.

Story
Location: Korea Are you ready to embark on a heartwarming journey with a loyal companion named Kristoff? Just like his namesake from "Frozen," Kristoff is a brave and kind soul who's ready to melt your heart with his gentle demeanor and endearing personality. Rescue Story: Kristoff's story is one of resilience and friendship. When his original owner couldn't care for him, he found solace in the company of a kind soul who nurtured him back to health and happiness. Now, Kristoff is seeking a forever home where he can repay that kindness with boundless love. Personality: With a heart as big as his smile, Kristoff adores spending time with his human friends. He's a gentle giant who gets along famously with children and other dogs. Kristoff's favorite pastimes include leisurely strolls, playing catch, and soaking in the natural beauty around him. Bathing and Grooming: Kristoff is a well-mannered gentleman during grooming sessions. He's a bit wary of shampoos, but with a little patience, he'll shine like a star after a spa day. Energy and Adventure: If you're an outdoor enthusiast, Kristoff is your perfect partner. With an energy level of 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, he's up for hikes and adventures that leave you both breathless. He handles hikes like a pro, bouncing back after a well-deserved rest. Diet and Playtime: Kristoff has discerning tastes and prefers meat over fish, probably due to his previous diet. He enjoys human company and will happily sit by your side as you work or relax. Though not big on toys, he loves the simple joy of a game of catch. Travel and Vet Visits: While not a car enthusiast, Kristoff doesn't experience motion sickness during car rides. He's incredibly well-behaved at vet visits, a true testament to his gentle nature. Desired Home: Kristoff's dream home is one with a touch of nature – a yard with the scent of fresh grass and the warmth of loving companionship. He yearns for a family that understands his rural upbringing and provides a safe haven for him to thrive. A household without young children might be the best fit for him. Kristoff's journey from guardian of the garden to beloved family member is a tale of devotion and unwavering love. If you're ready to share your life with a furry friend who's as loyal as they come, Kristoff is waiting to join you on your own magical adventure. Adopt Kristoff and let the enchantment begin! Ella's heart is full of love, and she's eagerly waiting to shower her affection on her new family. She would flourish as the only dog in the household, basking in all the affection and attention. Alternatively, if you already have a calm and gentle canine companion, Ella would surely be a great addition to the pack. A Gentle and Loving Spirit Ella's past has not hardened her heart; on the contrary, she exudes gentleness and warmth. She is extremely well-behaved and has been impeccably trained, a testament to her resilience and capacity for love. Perfectly Suited as an Only Dog or with a Calm Companion Ella thrives in a family where she can be the only dog, basking in all the attention and affection. Alternatively, she can gracefully coexist with a second dog that matches her calm and gentle demeanor. Crate Trained and Housebroken While Ella is crate trained, she may occasionally resist going into her crate. However, she is well housebroken and uses pee pads as well as going outdoors for potty needs. She has a unique preference for making poopies during walks. Three Keywords: Gentle, Well-Behaved, Calm ‍ Energy Level (1 to 10): Outside: 5-6, Inside: 2-3 Quiet with a Howl of Excitement Ella is a serene and quiet pup, but she does have a charming habit of howling with excitement right before going for a walk, expressing her sheer delight for the upcoming adventure. ‍ Perfect Walking Manners ‍Walking with Ella is a pure joy. She has fantastic leash manners and thoroughly enjoys her walks, making it an enjoyable experience for both her and her human companion. A Treat Lover Ella has a sweet tooth for treats, and they hold a special place in her heart. However, she may leave some food in her bowl if she indulges in too many treats before eating her meal. Car Rides and Grooming Ella may experience car sickness if she rides in a crate, but sitting on her person's lap reduces the discomfort. Although she might vomit when car sick, it's nothing too serious. She is very well-behaved during baths and brushing sessions, demonstrating her easygoing nature. She doesn't suffer from separation anxiety and is a delight during vet visits. Favorite Things Ella's heart sings when she goes for walks and receives a delicious treat. Just like any pup, she isn't too fond of other dogs stealing her treats—after all, they're just too good to share! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter.
