Squid is a sweet guy who's come a long way since arriving at the shelter. Found as a stray, he was very nervous when he first came in, but with time and patience, he's started to show us his playful and affectionate personality. While Squid may be a little unsure of new people at first, once he knows you, you'll see what a fun-loving companion he can be. He enjoys attention, playtime, and spending time with his favorite people. He can get a little mouthy during excitement, so he would love a family committed to helping him learn good manners and continue growing into the best version of himself. Squid has not shown positive reactions to other dogs here at the shelter, so we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Hi, I’m Rosebud! I found my way back to the shelter after being adopted a couple of years ago because my previous family found it difficult to manage my reactions to unfamiliar dogs while out and about. Around people, though, I’m an absolute sweetheart! I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a few minutes and I’ll happily soak up all the love and attention you have to offer. I’m much more interested in spending time with my people than playing with toys or snacking on treats, and I love being the center of your affection. I can still be a little unsure during things like leashing up, but with gentle handling and patience, I continue to build confidence. I’m looking for a home with older children or adults who understand my needs and can help me continue to thrive.
