Story
Ripley — The Life-of-the-Party Velcro Boy (and yes… He Loves Cats!) If you could invite one dog to a party just to make sure everyone had a good time… it would be Ripley. This happy, affectionate boy brings joy wherever he goes — equal parts playful companion, gentle observer, and cuddle expert. And one of Ripley's most special qualities? He is CAT FRIENDLY! We have videos showing Ripley interacting calmly and respectfully with cats and other dogs — making him a rare find for homes looking to add a dog to an existing furry family. About Ripley: - 1 year old - 60 lbs - Sweet, affectionate Velcro dog who loves his people - Plays happily with other dogs — then chooses to relax and "observe" the fun - Goes happily into his crate to unwind and relax - Eats his meals with enthusiasm but has lovely manners (no begging!) - Cat friendly — verified and rare! - Cuddly, smoochy, and incredibly loving A small bump in Ripley's journey: Ripley is heartworm positive, but please don't let that deter you. Heartworm treatment is very manageable, and the rescue helps support adopters throughout the treatment process. Many dogs complete treatment and go on to live long, healthy, normal lives — Ripley just needs a family willing to be part of that journey. He truly is the total package — playful when it's time for fun, calm when it's time to relax, and always ready for cuddles and kisses. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will make your home warmer, happier, and full of love, Ripley is ready to meet you. **Ripley is being fostered in Austin, TX. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.** If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application @ https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142. Once approved, home visit and reference checks are also required. If you have further questions outside of this listing, please email chowmail.hccc@gmail.com.

Story
Some dogs come into rescue quietly… and then immediately wrap themselves around your heart. That's Starburst. This tiny girl may be small in size, but her spirit is enormous. At just about 1 year old and 31 lbs, Starburst has already lived through more than any dog should. She was found chained behind a home with several other dogs and somehow survived freezing conditions before animal control rescued her. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and covered in fleas — yet through it all, she never stopped being happy. Her tail still wiggles nonstop. Her trust in people never broke. And what everyone notices first? - Her adorable pure black tongue - Her tiny size - Her constant desire to be close to her humans Starburst is the definition of a love bug. She wants nothing more than to climb into your lap, soak up affection, and finally belong to someone who will never leave her behind again. So far she has shown herself to be: - Great with kids - Cat approved - Friendly with other dogs - Extremely people-focused and affectionate She isn't looking for perfection — just a safe home, soft place to land, and someone who will love her as much as she loves them. **Starburst is being fostered in Austin, TX. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.** If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application @ https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142. Story
Bubbles and her sister Pickles came from a situation where they were originally purchased thinking they were tiny Pomeranians… and surprise—they just kept growing. Bubbles is a calm, affectionate girl who loves her people deeply. She greets you at the door like you're the best part of her day and prefers to stay close wherever you are—especially if that's the bed. She's very touch-oriented and will gently paw or nudge you when she wants attention. She's still a puppy and teething, so she may occasionally get into things she shouldn't if things get too quiet but overall she's easygoing, crate comfortable, and a slow, thoughtful eater. Plus, she is good with other dogs. **Bubbles is being fostered in Killeen, TX. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.** If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application @ https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142.
