Jinjer (A134129) is a 9-month-old Alaskan Malamute mix who weighed nearly 40 pounds on intake! 10/18/24 Miss Jinjer is back at the shelter because her previous owners were needing to move into housing that didn't allow allow pets. Jinjer is a super sweet and outgoing pup when she is around people she knows. She has been known to bark at strangers. she was said to be playful with kids and other dogs. However, she should be fed separately from other dogs, as she can be defensive. Jinjer does not have any experience with other animals. Please use caution if introducing her to cat or small animals, as malamutes and malinois tend to have high prey drives. Jinjer is still a young dog and has some puppy tendencies, such as chewing and digging. She was said to mind well and do well in the car, and she is working on basic commands, such as `sit!` Jinjer is said to be kennel trained, but she needs some work in being housebroken, as she is used to using potty pads. This sweet girl is incredibly cuddly, and her tail never stops! If you are interested in meeting Sweet Jinjer, please give us a call!These sweet pups are looking for their new families to love! Vessel, Star, and Jinjer were surrendered to the shelter because the prior home had too many doggos to care for. These pups have been little social butterflies at the shelter! However, they will need continued work with potty training, basic commands, and continued positive socialization. They will also need the remainder of their puppy vaccines. Please keep in mind when bringing a puppy home that Parvovirus is in our community and we advise you to wait until your puppy is fully vaccinated before bringing them out into the public. However, socializing them with fully vaccinated dogs is important. Puppies are a lot of work but worth it. If you have been considering adding a puppy to your family, please adopt and give us a call! Nami (A136240) is a 2-year-old Akita mix who weighed 56.2 pounds on intake! 10/17/24 This pretty girl is Nami! Nami arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now searching for her new home! At the shelter, we noticed that she can be vocal at times but loves to greet everyone. She has done a great job at keeping her kennel clean, indicating that she may already be housebroken! We encourage her next owner to work with a certified trainer to help with her manners and for the added benefit of socialization in a controlled environment! She seems very curious about her doggy neighbors at the shelter, but as her history is unknown with other animals, please ensure you are making appropriate introductions!
