Sean Connery is a 6-month-old, 35 lb, neutered male Pitbull mix (DOB 5/23/25), expected to be a larger adult once fully grown. He has adorable speckled paws and a speckled chest that make him even more striking and unique. He is in the foster home where he was born in Houston, Texas, and can transport to the Petfinder-listed city once an adopter has completed our screening process, virtual home visit, and reference checks. Charming, confident, and full of heart — just like his namesake! Sean Connery is a sweet, social puppy who loves to play with his siblings (but not in an over-the-top way). He’s affectionate, loves giving kisses, and enjoys being near his people. While he can be nervous at first, he warms up quickly with gentle introductions and reassurance. Sean hasn’t been around children yet, but we expect he will do well with kids who are respectful of a dog’s boundaries. We have no history with cats. Sean has been introduced to a crate and is working on his potty training routine. He’s a smart, eager-to-please boy already showing great obedience for his age, but like all puppies, he’ll need continued guidance as he grows — leash walking, manners, and a consistent daily routine will help him thrive. Because he’s still so young, we’re looking for a home where someone is home more often than they are away — puppies truly flourish with time, structure, and companionship. He’s great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Duke, 8 months old, neutered male, Terrier mix, currently weighs 32 pounds and expected to be medium size when full grown. He is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport to a city listed on Petfinder once approved. Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Meet Duke — a long-legged, lively pup who was rescued from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas! Duke is full of puppy energy and curiosity. He loves to run, explore, and play with other dogs. Those legs of his don’t just make him handsome — they give him an extra boost when he jumps (and he knows it!). He’s still working through some typical puppy nippiness, but he’s eager to learn and respond to guidance. Duke is house and crate trained and currently weighs about 32 pounds, with some growing left to do. We expect him to remain a medium-sized dog when full grown. We don’t have any history with cats or children, so proper introductions and supervision would be important if his future home includes either. Because Duke is still under a year old, he’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not. If you work outside the home, please include in your application how Duke will have interaction, playtime, and potty breaks during the day — applications without this information will not be processed. Theo is an approximately 8-week-old pitty mix puppy with a curious, happy spirit and a great balance of confidence and sweetness. He’s expected to grow into a large-breed dog and is currently being fostered in Austin, TX. Theo will be ready to travel in about two weeks, once he completes his final round of puppy vaccines. Out-of-state transport can be arranged by the rescue for an approved adopter. Theo has a handsome light brindle coat and carries himself with a quiet confidence. He’s more outgoing than his brother, but not quite as bold as his sister—making him a wonderful middle-ground pup who enjoys engaging with the world while still checking in for reassurance. Playful, observant, and affectionate, Theo loves being part of whatever is happening around him. Like his littermates, Theo had a tough start. He was found on the side of the road in freezing cold conditions in Houston, shortly after his mom gave birth. Thanks to a compassionate citizen who stopped to help, Theo and his littermates were brought to safety and placed into foster care with our rescue, where they’re now thriving. As with most puppies his age, Theo is still learning the basics. He’s working on house training and crate/playpen routines and will need a family committed to patience, consistency, and positive guidance. Theo sleeps through the night in a playpen with his brother and sister and is quickly picking up on daily routines. He’s not yet leash trained, so his forever family should be ready to help him build confidence with walks and new environments. Theo hasn’t yet been around children or cats, but we believe he could do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand puppy boundaries. Because he’s still young and developing, Theo will thrive best in a home where someone is around more often than not to support his training, socialization, and growth.
