Story
If you’ve ever wished for a dog that looks like a plush toy come to life… Bean Sprout is your guy. This little dude is an Alaskan Klee Kai / Husky mix with the shortest, cutest legs you’ve ever seen. He is only about 25 pounds and around 2 years old, he’s the perfect compact companion, all the charm without the extra size. Check out his short self and his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/OUyyH9kxS7E?si=Xot1BfegeZeAUbIB Bean Sprout is a super cool, respectful little gentleman. He’s wonderful with kids and does great with cats, always calm and polite around them. He prefers to be the only dog in the home, as he’s just not a big fan of other pups, but honestly, he has more than enough personality and love to fill your home all by himself. He can be a bit shy at first, but give him a little time (literally like an hour or so, also her is a trick- bring lots of plush toys!) and you’ll see his true colors shine. Once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly affectionate, gently asking for love and soaking up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. Belly rubs are his absolute weakness he’ll flop right onto his back, legs in the air, patiently waiting like the sweet little angel he is. Toys are another big love of his life. Bean Sprout carries them around like emotional support treasures, and when the mood strikes, he’ll burst into the cutest zoomies you’ve ever witnessed. Watching him play is pure joy. I wish I could describe his love of toys. I'm sure you saw it in the video and were ooohhhing and ahhhing! Bean Sprout is small, special, and full of love just waiting for the right person to share it with. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, goofy little soul who will happily be your one-and-only… Bean Sprout is ready to steal your heart. Adopt Him today! Story
Poe is a 4-year-old, neutered Pittie mix — a 60 lb bundle of joy who’s equal parts playful, loyal, and affectionate. He’s an outgoing, fun-loving guy with the perfect mix of goofiness and smarts — the kind of dog who’ll make you laugh one minute and melt your heart the next. Poe is being fostered in Austin, Texas, and transport out of state can be arranged for approved adopters. Please note, our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we’ll reach out to coordinate a phone interview, followed by a video call with his foster home. A virtual home visit, plus personal and vet reference checks, are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Poe has an enthusiastic play style and loves to run, romp, and wrestle. He’s friendly and social with other dogs, happily interacting with pups between 35–75 lbs. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be friends with everyone he meets — tail wagging, body wiggling, and eager to say hello. When another dog’s had enough playtime, he usually takes the hint and moves on politely. He absolutely adores kids and has lived with children ages 3–17. Poe’s gentle, affectionate nature shines through around them — he loves being part of a family. When it comes to walks, Poe does best if he’s had a chance to burn off some energy first. If he heads out right away, he tends to pull from excitement, but with a little leash work and structure, he’ll be a dream walking companion. Poe is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night from about 9:30/10 p.m. to 6 a.m. He’s always fed in his crate, not because he guards, but because it helps keep mealtime calm and routine. He’s never had any guarding issues with people and happily accepts treats or food from trusted hands. Poe’s personality is a perfect blend of curious, smart, silly, and affectionate. He loves tug toys, belly rubs, and hanging out with his humans. One of his most endearing quirks? He takes his backyard duties very seriously — every time he goes outside, he performs a full “perimeter patrol” before relaxing. He’s quiet when meeting strangers, preferring to take a moment to warm up before showing his true snuggly self. Poe is great in the car, fine with stairs, and overall an easy, happy guy to have around. He doesn’t require another dog in the home but would enjoy one with a compatible energy level if introduced slowly. Poe would thrive in a moderate-to-high activity home that can keep him busy — he loves walks, play sessions, and having a job to do. He’s terrified of thunder, fireworks, and loud buzzing noises like bug zappers, so his adopter should be ready to comfort him during those moments. His bark might sound tough, but underneath it all, he’s the biggest baby who just wants to feel safe. He could benefit from continued leash training and learning a few more commands to help him be his best self, but he’s eager to learn and loves pleasing his people. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and big-hearted companion who’ll patrol your yard by day and snuggle by night, Poe is your guy. ? ___ Breed and Age Notice: The listed breed and age are our best estimates. Story
Sean Connery is a 6-month-old, 35 lb, neutered male Pitbull mix (DOB 5/23/25), expected to be a larger adult once fully grown. He has adorable speckled paws and a speckled chest that make him even more striking and unique. He is in the foster home where he was born in Houston, Texas, and can transport to the Petfinder-listed city once an adopter has completed our screening process, virtual home visit, and reference checks. Charming, confident, and full of heart — just like his namesake! Sean Connery is a sweet, social puppy who loves to play with his siblings (but not in an over-the-top way). He’s affectionate, loves giving kisses, and enjoys being near his people. While he can be nervous at first, he warms up quickly with gentle introductions and reassurance. Sean hasn’t been around children yet, but we expect he will do well with kids who are respectful of a dog’s boundaries. We have no history with cats. Sean has been introduced to a crate and is working on his potty training routine. He’s a smart, eager-to-please boy already showing great obedience for his age, but like all puppies, he’ll need continued guidance as he grows — leash walking, manners, and a consistent daily routine will help him thrive. Because he’s still so young, we’re looking for a home where someone is home more often than they are away — puppies truly flourish with time, structure, and companionship. He’s great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. If you’re ready for puppy breath, snuggles, and the joy (and occasional chaos!) of raising a wonderful dog, Sean Connery just might be your perfect match. __ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Story
Duke, 8 months old, neutered male, Terrier mix, currently weighs 32 pounds and expected to be medium size when full grown. He is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport to a city listed on Petfinder once approved. Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Meet Duke — a long-legged, lively pup who was rescued from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas! Duke is full of puppy energy and curiosity. He loves to run, explore, and play with other dogs. Those legs of his don’t just make him handsome — they give him an extra boost when he jumps (and he knows it!). He’s still working through some typical puppy nippiness, but he’s eager to learn and respond to guidance. Duke is house and crate trained and currently weighs about 32 pounds, with some growing left to do. We expect him to remain a medium-sized dog when full grown. We don’t have any history with cats or children, so proper introductions and supervision would be important if his future home includes either. Because Duke is still under a year old, he’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not. If you work outside the home, please include in your application how Duke will have interaction, playtime, and potty breaks during the day — applications without this information will not be processed. Duke is ready to stretch those long legs in his forever home — could it be with you? ? ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
