Story
**About Breek:** Breek is an international rescue all the way from South Korean. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Breek’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking him up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Personality Breek is a happy, gentle, and affectionate little boy with a surprisingly calm personality for his age! He absolutely loves people and enjoys being close to them. He’s very affectionate and tends to rely on his humans for comfort and attention. He gets along very well with other dogs, although he can be a little timid around larger dogs and may bark at first when meeting them. Overall, he’s a sweet, easygoing puppy who loves both people and his furry friends. Good with Children? Breek hasn’t spent much time around children, but he has been calm and friendly when meeting them. His foster believes he would likely do well with children, although he hasn’t had much experience living or spending extended time with them. Good with Cats? Yes! Breek currently lives with a cat in his foster home and gets along well with cats. Car Rides Breek is already very comfortable with car rides! He’s been riding in cars since he was about 2 months old, so he’s quite used to them. Whether he’s traveling in a crate or sitting in the back seat, he stays calm and relaxed throughout the ride. Potty Training Breek is doing wonderfully with potty training! He currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. He usually goes potty in the yard in the morning and during his evening walks. Indoors, he has a 100% success rate with pee pads, and he already does most of his pooping outside. As he’s growing, his potty frequency is gradually decreasing. His foster expects he may naturally transition to mostly outdoor potty breaks as he gets older, although this will depend on his routine and training. Separation Anxiety Breek hasn’t been left completely alone yet, as he currently lives with several other dogs. Since he’s still a young puppy and loves being around people, he may whine a little when adjusting to a new home or learning to spend time alone. He’ll need some patience and gradual alone-time training as he settles in. Food & Resource Guarding Breek absolutely loves food and treats! He’s very patient and waits nicely for his turn when treats are being handed out. He’s also a slow eater, so other dogs sometimes manage to steal his food, but he doesn’t react aggressively or start fights. He’s not a picky eater at all! His foster feeds him a mix of different types of kibble, and he happily eats everything. He has no known food allergies so far. No resource-guarding behavior has been observed. Leash Walking & Recall Breek has only recently started learning to walk on a leash, but he’s already making great progress! He’s also practicing recall in a safe, controlled off-leash environment. Even when he’s happily running around, he comes right back when called and willingly returns indoors. He’s a smart little puppy who seems eager to learn! Training & Commands Breek currently understands: Sit No He’s still very young, so his training is ongoing. APPLY HERE https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/

**About River:** River is an international rescue all the way from South Korean. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of River’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking him up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Personality River is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate little boy who absolutely loves people! Although he can be a little timid, he enjoys being close to his humans even when off-leash. He has a lovely balance of affection and independence. He’s not overly clingy, but he loves cuddling up and falling asleep in his foster’s arms, which makes him incredibly adorable! River is very food-motivated, making it easier to build trust and work on training. He also behaves calmly at cafés and restaurants, patiently waiting beside his foster. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but he’s also perfectly happy entertaining himself with toys. Overall, River has a moderate energy level. He’s playful and curious without being overly hyper. Good with Children? River hasn’t had much experience spending time with children, and he currently lives in a home without kids. However, he has a very gentle and mild-mannered personality, and his foster believes he could do well with children. His compatibility with children hasn’t been fully tested, so gentle introductions and supervision would be important. Good with Cats? River doesn’t show much interest in cats when he encounters them. He hasn’t lived with cats, so his compatibility with them hasn’t been fully tested. However, since he’s still a young puppy and hasn’t shown aggressive behavior, his foster believes he could potentially adjust well to living with a cat. Slow, supervised introductions would be recommended. Car Rides River doesn’t have much experience riding in cars yet, so he can be a little nervous at first. However, he generally stays calm during car rides and hasn’t shown any signs of car sickness. Potty Training River prefers going potty outdoors, but he also does well using pee pads indoors. He’s already developing good potty habits, although continued consistency and training will be important as he grows. Separation Anxiety River hasn’t been left completely alone yet because he currently lives with other dogs in his foster home. His foster believes he may become comfortable spending time alone as he gets older, but his ability to stay home alone hasn’t been tested. Since he’s still a young puppy, he’ll need gradual alone-time training and patience as he adjusts to a new environment. Food & Resource Guarding River absolutely loves food and treats! He’s patient and waits nicely for his turn. If another dog leaves food or treats unfinished, River may try to sneak an extra bite, but he generally handles these situations without conflict. No specific resource-guarding behavior has been reported. Leash Walking & Recall River is doing very well with leash walking! He naturally maintains a comfortable distance from his handler without pulling excessively and is easy to guide during walks. He’s curious about other dogs he encounters but doesn’t pull toward them. He also does well during supervised off-leash activities and tends to stay close to his foster rather than wandering off. As he’s still a puppy, continued leash training and recall practice in secure areas will help him develop reliable walking habits. Training & Commands River currently understands: Sit Stay / Wait He’s still young and continuing to learn! APPLY HERE https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/
