Story
I'm initially quite timid and fearful when I meet strangers, and it typically takes me around 3 to 7 days to start feeling comfortable around them. Once that happens, I'm more than happy to let people pet, hold, lift, and even carry me around. With other dogs, I'm incredibly friendly. I thrive around dogs of a similar size to me, and I tend to do even better in a household where there's another dog. I rely on the companionship and support of my fellow four-legged friends. My curiosity piques when I encounter cats, but I'm not the type to engage in aggressive behaviour towards them. Peaceful coexistence is more my style. As for my energy level, I'm moderate. I relish outdoor activities but am equally content with the calmness of indoor settings. During walks, I might pull a bit, but I'm quick to adjust and follow the handler well. You won't find me guarding resources when it comes to people or other dogs, and I'm not one to create a fuss through excessive barking. Additionally, I've got crate training down to a tee. For now, I'm comfortable with both indoor and outdoor potty options, but as a walking routine is established, I'll likely transition to outdoor potty exclusively. Rescue Story: As a young puppy, Happy found herself in a city shelter, where her journey took a dramatic turn. During a severe and rainy day, the shelter became inundated with flooding. Remarkably, it was young Happy who displayed an extraordinary act of bravery and self-preservation. At just 8 months old, she managed to navigate her way to the rooftop, saving herself from the rising waters. One of the rescuers has spotted Happy and decided to rescue her. Story
I was rescued from a dog meat farm in Suwon, South Korea in 2022. When you first meet me, you'll notice that I can be a bit shy, especially in new environments and around strangers. However, don't let my initial reserve fool you – I'm quite easy to handle, and you can pick me up and carry me without any issues. As we grow closer, I'll even roll over for some belly rubs to show my affection. When it comes to interacting with other dogs, I'm a gentle soul. While I may not be the most playful pup, I'll approach them with kindness. However, I can become overwhelmed by hyperactive dogs and may display a hint of jealousy. So, I would thrive in a home where I can be the sole focus or with another dog who is independent and respectful of my boundaries. I have a moderate energy level, which means I enjoy outdoor activities but am exceptionally calm when indoors. I'm still getting used to walking on a leash, and I can be a little frightened by busy streets, loud noises, and sudden movements. But with time and patience, I'll become more confident. I don't guard resources from people, but I may growl if another dog gets too close to me while I'm eating. On the bright side, I'm not a barker, and I'm already crate trained. For now, I do both indoor and outdoor potty business. I have a big heart and, once I feel comfortable, I'll reveal my bubbly personality. During the transition period, your patience and understanding will help me open up even more and show my true colors. Story
Hello there! My name is Toast, and I'm a sweet 3 and a half-year-old baby who found herself in a shelter at just 3 months old back in January 2020. I've been patiently waiting for my forever home, and I think it could be with you! I absolutely love people, and I'm not shy but given a little more attention, I'll come right up to you, wagging my tail for some pets. I'm a pro at making new friends! I've got a lot of experience with walks, so you won't have to worry about me pulling on the leash—I'm great at keeping pace. I get along well with other dogs and have a friendly and sociable nature. Meeting new furry friends is something I look forward to, and I'm known for being quite affectionate. After our walks, I usually settle down nicely, matching my energy to the situation. I'm not much of a barker, and I don't guard my food. I'm a well-behaved girl. I'm also well-behaved in my kennel, quietly waiting for our next adventure together. I'm pretty good about doing my business outdoors, and I enjoy tasty snacks. If you're looking for a charming and affectionate Jindo mix, I might just be the perfect match for you!
