Story
Meet Liam – A Laid-Back, Loyal Senior With a Heart of Gold Are you looking for a calm, well-mannered companion who loves trail walks, sunbathing, and simply being near his people? Liam might be your perfect match. This sweet senior boy is easy to have around. He’s crate trained, house trained, and knows all the basics—including Sit, Shake, Down, and Stay. Liam enjoys a quiet, predictable routine and adapts well to home life. He sleeps peacefully through the night, doesn’t dig or jump fences, and prefers a soft carpet over a dog bed. He shares his foster home peacefully with another dog. He enjoys playing with dogs his size or smaller. What makes Liam special? 🐾 Crate trained, house trained, and well-behaved indoors 🐾 Healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped 🐾 Loves car rides and makes a great backseat buddy 🐾 Wire-brush grooming is his spa day 🐾 Happy to patrol the window or let you know when someone’s at the door 🐾 Enjoys trail walks and sunny naps in the yard 🐾 Likes dipping his toes in cool water—ankle-deep only, thank you! Liam isn’t big on toys, but the second he sees a leash, his tail wags with excitement. He does well with a one-hour walk each day. He does get a little vocal when meeting unfamiliar dogs on walks, but with patience and continued socialization, he’s improving. Liam will thrive in a calm home with a fenced yard and a cool spot to relax. Can you be the person to give him a peaceful place to spend his golden years?

Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: Red Weight: 55.5 Age: 2yrs 0mths 0wks
