Meet Mitzi! Mitzi is a pint-sized Poodle/Shih Tzu mix with the cutest face and a truly playful soul. She is still learning that the world is a safe place, her resilient spirit shines through when she’s zooming around with her toys. She is a "gentle soul" seeking a quiet, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. Because Mitzi is still finding her "brave," she’s looking for an adopter who celebrates the little wins—like the very first time she asks for a head scratch or masters a new routine. If you have a calm heart and plenty of room for a tiny shadow to grow in confidence, Mitzi is ready to start her happily-ever-after with you! Mitzie is estimated to be 3 years old and 11 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Story
Sweet Margo has a story, wish she could tell us about it! Luckily for her, she was rescued and is now enjoying plenty of cuddle time in a warm house. She is learning to trust. She wags her little tail and curls up next to you, accepting belly rubs (as she deserves!). Margo has eye drops daily to help her cataracts. She is house trained and just wants to be loved. Someone is going to be lucky to adopt this lady. Margo is estimated to be 6 years old and under 15 lbs. Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
