Story
We adopted Marshie from our neighbors, and she is three years old now, born January 12, 2021. She has been spayed, her shots are up to date, and she is house-trained, but not crate trained. She is very affectionate, she'll sleep/cuddle with you and give you a million kisses when she gets excited to see you. She needs an experienced owner who will understand the characteristics of her breed: she barks mainly during the night, to protect against potential predators. She can be protective, as she resource guards her toys, but she does not guard her food and is okay with being around others while eating. Our main concern is that she, sadly, bit someone in the past. Our house was under construction which was stressful for Marshie who wasn't used to the commotion & strangers being in her home. Following her instincts, she bit one of the workers, which didn't need stitches. She is only protective in her territory. Marshie needs a loving, understanding, & structured home where she can thrive.

Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Claude, an adult dog with a loving and gentle demeanor. Do to his size and exuberance, we do not recommend that he be placed in a home with young kids (under 12). We also think Claude will be happiest as the only pet in the home. Claude enjoys the simple things in life; a cozy spot to nap, a gentle hand to pet him, and a calm voice to reassure him.
