Story
King is a male Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix who is 2 years old, and about 68ish lbs. He is looking to be a part of a family that can't wait to give him the time and attention he has been needing for a long time. He needs to gain a few pounds as he is a bit skinny for a boy of his stature. King is looking for a home with a fenced in yard to romp and play in, and roam and protect as the Great Pyrenees in him likes to do. King is said to have lived with a cat, however GRRAND has not cat tested him, and he gets along with other dogs.  His new family will need to have the patience to work with King since he has not had any training and give him the exercise and direction he needs as he is still young and active. Our GRRAND volunteer who has hung out with King in the field says: "King is a gorgeous and handsome Retriever/Pyrenees mix. He is shy yet curious and will warm up to people after he thoughtfully studies you. Sweet and gentle in nature, King would love to have a human or family of his own." Story
Loula is a 5 year old, Great Pyrenees mix (we believe she is a Pyradoodle!) at only 50ish lbs who is being surrendered to GRRAND as her family tells us: "We are relocating to a larger city where we will not have the outdoor space or time to care for her properly. She currently has a large yard to play in, and she will not have that when they move." She should go to a home with no small children as her current home has them and we are told: " While we do have children, she likes to herd/follow small children and it does cause her to be stressed and not settle down when multiple kids are running around, and she does not like it when they are around while she is eating."  Loula is crate-trained and sleeps in it at night and needs plenty of activity to keep her busy. She will need a home with a fenced in yard so she can hang out and play. Our GRRAND volunteer who hangs with Loula in the GRRAND play yard tells us: "We were back in our field today with Miss Loula, who has recently had a second grooming and is looking even more beautiful. Loula is a Goldendoodle mix and she is great fun. She has a great sense of humor and likes to run like a gazelle while having a ball thrown for her, but she also loves to sit and be petted. She knows basic commands, including recall upon hearing her name. This girl needs to put some weight on her bones, but she is looking better everyday. It's always a great time with Loula!" Bella is a 15 month old, 60ish lb, female Great Pyrenees puppy who was surrendered with her sister Maple, as their person is very sick and can no longer care for them. It was a devastating decision they had to make, but knew GRRAND would find them the right home. They tell us that "they are good with dogs, cats, chickens and farm animals." Our GRRAND volunteer says "These ladies are the most calm, loving, affectionate, curious Great Pyrenees you may ever meet!" We want to very much adopt them out together as they love each other very much. They will need to go to a home with a secure above ground fenced yard, as the Great Pyrenees love to roam and patrol and this is done best in a secure and safe environment. They are just puppies, so they need a family with the time and commitment to helping them adjust to their new home and give them the exercise and direction they will need to be a good girls.
