**Tune in to our Facebook page (Great Pyrenees Rescue Society - GPRS) every Sunday at 3pm CT to see our dogs LIVE!  You can also find previous episodes on our YouTube channel (@gprspyrs). If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org**.  Introducing Lila, a gorgeous Great Pyrenees girl who’s as sweet as they come—affectionate, happy, and always ready to dole out some seriously top-tier kisses. Born around February 2024, Lila was surrendered alongside her sister Lydia by a growing family who adored her but felt overwhelmed with toddlers and a baby on the way. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, Lila still has a temperament that’s smoother than a jazz melody, the kind that makes life easy. With her naturally calm demeanor, Lila is the type to stay cool even when the other dogs are throwing a bark party around her. Unflappable, unbothered, and undeniably lovable, she’s easy-going with a pinch of timid, but she’s never too shy to chase a good time. Or treats. In which case she’ll happily plant herself at your feet with laser-like focus and a hopeful smile. Lila has a playful sparkle in her eye that says she’s always ready for a little adventure—or a nap in the sun. She gets along great with both the ladies and the fellas, and she’s hoping her forever home comes with a four-legged BFF to pal around with—because playtime, like a cheese snack, is better when shared! Lila walks well on a leash (with the occasional artistic interpretation of where the path *should* be), loves to play, and is deeply committed to snack-based decision-making. Lila is looking for a home where she can be her happy, beautiful self—and maybe share some of those amazing kisses with you. Story
Meet Janis, the adorable freckle-faced girl who’s as sweet as they come and who knows how to make her presence felt in the most endearing ways. Born around March 2020, Janis is an affectionate girl who loves snuggles, won’t say no to a good belly rub, and just wants to be adored. She’s got a soft spot for humans and loves to stay close, ensuring you never feel alone—she may even climb into your lap to get closer! If you're looking for a buddy who’s all about those cozy moments, Janis is your girl. But as much as Janis loves her humans, she’s not big on sharing the spotlight—she’s on the lookout for a home where she can be your one-and-only. And spoiler alert, she’s very clear about her "no cats allowed" policy—cats are definitely not on her guest list! Janis is the perfect companion for a quiet home with adults only (she’s not into the whole kid thing) and would thrive in a calm, loving environment. Janis is a keen listener and will happily join you for a leisurely walk—though, full disclosure, she’s a bit of a distracted walker who has strong opinions about bicycles and mail trucks. She’s still learning the art of leash-walking, so some patience is required, but she’s super smart and eager to please. And speaking of her intelligence, this smart cookie is a Dentastix detective, and she loves the challenge of a treasure hunt in pursuit of those prized treats! With her affectionate nature (and those sweet freckles you can’t resist!), Janis is ready to give all her love and gentle kisses to the right home—could it be yours?
