Name:  Big Boy        Best Guess for Breed:   Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix     Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of August 2026       Gender:   male Approximate Weight:   90lbs  Gets Along With: Other dogs and kids! We have not seen Big Boy with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any interested adopters.  Currently Living At: DC area home What My Foster Says About Me: This is Big Boy, he's a 3 year old, 90lbs, Great Pyrenees mix. He is handsome, friendly, and unfortunately looking for a new home! Like most dogs his breed, he feels cooped up in a smaller yard and would prefer his humans be home more often. We try very hard to not unnecessarily place barriers to adopt such as requiring a yard or working from home - Big Boy just happens to be an exception, needing a more specific type of home where he can spend most of his day outside, running around in a large yard, under the supervision of someone who's usually always home.Why Big Boy? He LOVES other dogs and gets along with all of them. He's quite the gentleman at the dog park. He's lived with children including a baby through toddler life. He's very patient with kids and on occasion let's them get away with hiding their toys in his fur. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. This stunning Great Pyrenees mix has that signature milky-white coat and looks remarkably like a giant fluffy cloud that has decided to grow four legs and move into your house. Duchess is a natural guardian, as you’d expect from her Pyrenees heritage. She gets along with other dogs and, like any proper lady, appreciates a courteous introduction first and isn’t particularly impressed by excessive shenanigans. She’s also an excellent traveling companion. Open the car door and Duchess happily hops right in, ready to be chauffeured to her next engagement. 🚗👑 At seven, Duchess has moved beyond the puppy nonsense and knows and would love a home that appreciates her guardian nature, respects her dignified approach to canine friendships, and has plenty of room for one very large white cloud. Autumn certainly has the looks of a Pyrenees, with a personality to match! In her time with us, she has been the quintessential Pyrenees. She brings a calm, quiet demeanor, and enough fluff to make a cloud jealous! Autumn has the classic puffy white coat, deep eyes, and size that make her breed special. But that’s not all! She has shown off her ‘sit’ and has been taking treats nicely and gently. Though she has been picky about which treats she spits out and which she doesn’t, so only the highest quality for the queen herself! If this regal beauty may fit in your home, c’mon down and meet her at one of our events! You are sure to gain a lifelong companion!
