Story
We have had Eorlund for about 3 years. We originally adopted him from the humane society with the intention of him being our LGD. However, from relatively early on, it was very clear Eorlund did not take well to being a LGD. He is good with other animals and protective of the property, but all he wants is to be a pet. He has not taken well to the working dog life full time and we do not have the space or capacity to treat him as a family dog or allow him inside. Eorlund is the sweetest boy. He knows basic commands, loves cuddles, and is a big goofball. He bolts on the leash to chase deer, but other than that he walks perfectly well on the leash. One of the biggest issues is he bolts to run after the deer and will leave the property on his quest to drive them away (we have a large acreage property). Because of this, we have to keep him contained to a fenced yard (welded wire fencing, not super tall, he respected fences well).

Story
Meet Austin! This Anatolian shepherd mix is still in training and will only be placed with a home that understands the breed and will work with Austin to keep up the progress he is making. Austin, like many rescue dogs, had a rough start to life. He is very shy around new people and takes a while to warm up to them. He was born in June 2020, so he is still fairly young and would benefit from ongoing training and human companionship. In his time at WAG, he has spent time with a similarly sized female dog, so he might do well with a canine companion.
