Story
Sammy is an amazing lab mix who would make a great dog for an individual or a family with older kids. His favorite things are playing fetch and chewing a bone on the couch. He is five years old, up-to-date on shots, and very healthy. Sammy is crate trained, house trained, and loves learning new tricks. However he struggles with some leash reactivity around other dogs. He can be a bit exuberant when meeting new people but quickly settles when played with. Sammy is a very loyal dog and is being rehomed through no fault of his own. It breaks my heart to do but he is too much around our infant son and so not getting the attention or exercise he deserves. He would do great in a family with older kids or someone with no kids, We really want him to go to the right home so the fee could be waived if we felt it was the right person. Sammy comes with his crate, toys, leash, bowls, and food.

This sweetie is Jinx, the 7 month old Lab mix. She's an angel in puppy form! She wasn't treated well as a baby, as she was neglected and starved, and as such her growth has been stunted (she's approx 20 lbs). Even though she wasn't cared for, she hasn't lost her spark. She's still sweet as sugar and a joy to be around. She is spayed and has had all shots. Jinx arrives in NYC on Sunday, 1/24. Apply today to take Jinx home! Story
Dorothy is a two-time miracle - she has survived BOTH parvo and heart worm!! She was brought in to an Alabama shelter as a puppy, and remained there until we pulled her. She's now about a year and half old! According to her foster, Dorothy is sure to make you and everyone around you smile! She has nothing but love in her heart for both people and dogs. She is very well house-trained and she's easygoing, spending much of her time sleeping and hanging out on her dog bed. Sometimes she gets a little spooked by new situations, but quickly comes around with a pat on the head. She loves walks and belly rubs and would be a perfect addition to any family. The only thing Dorothy needs is a home without cats or small dogs. All IOHR animals have had age-appropriate medical care.
