Apollo was an owner surrender and unfortunately we don’t know the reason why. Apollo has been a little shut down in the shelter, but is appreciative of the time he spends with staff and volunteers! Apollo has been very sweet and seems to have a gentle personality. He can be submissive at times, which can be mistaken as fearful, but Apollo has done well with meeting new people! It is unknown if Apollo has lived with children or other animals. Please be sure to bring your little ones with you when you come to meet him! Small children that may yell, run around him or try to climb on him when first meeting will be overwhelming for Apollo. Apollo has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter - he mostly ignores the other dogs and doesn’t appear to be looking for a playmat! Though, he does always have a friendly demeanor when seeing them. We do recommend a dog meet and greet prior to adopting. Apollo has been a very well mannered boy. He is potty trained, walks great on a leash and knows a few basic cues including “sit” and “down”. We believe Apollo may also be crate trained due to how well behaved he is when kenneled! He is pretty mellow, but keep in mind that he does like to get out at least once a day. Apollo loves regular walks and is so happy to be out in the sun!If Apollo sounds like he would be a great fit for your home we would love for you to come by and meet him!

Ace is about a year and a half. Between 80 and 90lbs. He is a loving and very playful boy. He loves tug of war and fetch, he knows most basic commands but does need further training on recall and reactivity. He’s not dog aggressive and got along well with our other pit bull but is reavtive towards other dogs on walks. He is currently living with a cat and hasn’t had any issues so far.

Mimi has that typical Labrador personality! She is outgoing, playful and oh so happy. You can imagine that Mimi enjoys playing fetch. Tennis balls are her fav and she will even drop it for you to be thrown. Mimi is easy going, but expect to see her zoomies when first meeting! Mimi will be happiest with regular exercise and she loves to be outside, especially when it’s nice and sunny out. Mimi has good manners and seems to have had some basic training. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “down”, “shake” and “drop it”. Due to how well behaved she is in her kennel we believe she may also be crate trained! Mimi did arrive to the shelter as a stray so it is unknown if she has lived with children or other animals. She has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter and may do well with a friend. We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed! Mimi is very sweet, affectionate and does great with handling. She does not tend to jump up, but may be too much energy for some small children. Mimi is such a good girl and can make anyone happy!
