Story
4 year old Lola is a survivor. She was pregnant and living on the side of a river, and surviving from scraps from a stranger. Eventually a kind stranger managed to get her and her puppies into shelter. Lola is a beautiful Mexican special mix – her pups look like small black labs – she may be a shepherd x terrier x lab mix. She’s her own mix of very special girl. Lola is lower energy, but spins in excitement if you might be so kind to toss her a ball, or when her dinner is ready. Check her out here: https://www.instagram.com/pvcaanimalrescue/reel/DR-vk8YksCo/ Lola is careful with strangers at first but also VERY affectionate. Lola isn’t keen to go far – she prefers the safety of the sanctuary – perhaps worried she may be dumped again. She is looking for a quiet loving home. She is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. If you think you might be a fit, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.

Story
Hi! My name is Teddy, and I'm looking for a family who is ready for an adventure with me.I was found tied up outside an abandoned supermarket, where I had been left alone for quite some time. Even though my life didn't start the way every dog deserves, I never lost my love for people. I still greet everyone with a wagging tail and a happy heart, hoping they'll stop to say hello. If you're looking for a dog who loves people, loves life, and wants to be part of everything you do, that might just be me.💛 **What I'm Like**I'm a young Labrador, which means I'm full of energy, curiosity, and excitement. I absolutely love being around people and will happily lean into you for pets or bring you a toy to play together.I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends. Whether it's running, playing, or simply hanging out together, I'm a social guy who enjoys good company. I'm definitely not a picky eater! I love my meals and treats, which makes training much easier because I'm always excited to work for a reward.🐶 **I'm Still Learning**Even though I'm already a big boy, I'm really just a puppy. I've never truly experienced life inside a home, so everything is new to me. I'll need a family who understands that I'll be learning house rules from the very beginning. That means I'll need help with:- House training- Crate and settling training- Learning to stay home alone- Basic manners around food- Walking nicely on a leash- Commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, and drop itI won't learn everything overnight, but I'm smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn when my family is patient and consistent.⚡ **I Have Lots of Energy**One thing you should know about me—I'm a true Labrador! At only one year old, I have a lot of physical and mental energy. A quick walk around the block won't be enough to keep me happy.Every day I'll need:- Long walks- Playtime- Fetch or tug games- Nose work and enrichment activities- Training sessions to keep my mind busySimply letting me out in the backyard isn't enough. I want to explore the world with my family and spend time doing things together. If I don't get enough exercise and mental stimulation, I may become bored and find my own entertainment—which could include chewing shoes, furniture, cushions, or anything else I can find. Like many young Labradors, I need healthy outlets for all of my energy.❤️ **Sometimes I Get Too Excited**I love people so much that when I get excited, I sometimes jump up to say hello. I'm not trying to be rude—I just get so happy that I forget my manners!Because I'm already a strong 18 kg and still growing, my family will need to teach me that keeping all four paws on the ground earns attention. With consistency and positive training, I'll learn that calm behavior gets the best rewards.🏡 **My Perfect Family**I'm looking for a family who understands that adopting me means raising a young Labrador—not bringing home a fully trained adult dog.I'd be happiest with people who:- Have experience with Labradors or other active large breeds- Can provide daily exercise and enrichment- Are committed to ongoing training- Will set clear, consistent rules that everyone in the family follows- Are willing to work with a professional trainer if needed- Understand that raising a young dog takes patience, time, and commitmentI probably wouldn't be the best fit for a family that's away from home most of the day or is hoping for a calm, low-maintenance companion.🐾 **A Note From Me**I'm not perfect—and I don't need a family looking for perfection.I need a family who will see beyond my puppy mistakes and believe in the dog I can become. If you give me the exercise I need, teach me with patience, and include me in your life, I promise to give you endless love, loyalty, laughter, and unforgettable adventures.I'm ready to learn. I'm ready to grow. Now I'm just waiting for someone who's ready to grow with me.Could that someone be you? 🤎
