Story
Hi there lovely people, I am the cool dude Carter and here's some information about me Age: 9Breed: Australian LabradoodleWeight: 40 lbsGender: Male I was adopted at 8 weeks old from the Shuswap area and back hen I was just a redheaded ball of fluff. Over the years, our family has grown. and unfortunately I have been neglected with the arrival of the second child. . Even though I have access to a wonderful back yard that I play in daily, I really miss going on walks, which is such a necessity for feeling part of the pack.. I'm still very energetic and turn right back to my puppy ways hen I get cuddles or attention. At home, I am a well mannered and respectful boy when left alone. Up until two years ago I was at a doggy daycare every single day while my parents were at work and I really enjoy the company of other dogs. I have good behaviour off leash and at dog parks. It usually helps if I have a soft introduction to new dogs. I haven't had any experience with cats yet. While I get along with older children, small children make me nervous.  My perfect home would have people with enough time and energy to spend with me, preferably without small children. Energy level: Moderate I get along with:Dogs: YesCats:  UnknownKids: No Fears:  I can be skittish around skateboards, rollerblades and scooters, but these are just things I need to get accustomed to and can be addressed with patience and training. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: YesHealth notes: I have no health issues and have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped My adoption fee is $500 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2298349##

Story
Meet Nube who is looking for a home. Nube is a 4.5 year old mixed breed, full grown at a perfect 45 lbs. We think she may be a lab cross, with a gorgeous white coat, and beautiful markings to round out her unique look. She shares space with other dogs and enjoys playtime in the yard with them. Nube is friendly and affectionate with shelter visitors with a lovely disposition. She is medium energy - with enough energy to keep up, but would also be grateful for some chill time to make up for missed cuddles. Mostly she would love her very own family. Nube hasn't been tested extensively with cats. She sees them without reacting, but for now, we will seek a home without cats to be sure. While Nube is lovely with people, she's not been specifically tested with kids. Nube is spayed and vaccinated. She is missing some of her front teeth - likely a result of escaping shackles or surviving on street scraps. If you think you might be a fit for this beauty, as her chance at a forever home, or as a foster along the way, she'd love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com

Story
Patricio is the absolute perfect love bug. He has a sweet gentle disposition – he is lovely with everyone he meets. He has a joyful spring in his step when he sees people, and he also happily finds joy in any toy that might come his way, finding his own happiness in the little things. He likes to gather shelter toys and put them near his bed, revelling in the joy of having anything good come his way. Patricio is about 4 years old. He is good with dogs and cats, and walks nicely on leash (including past cows, chickens, bikes and trucks). Patricio is a lovely and compact 38 lbs. His quiet happiness also means he’s not much of a barker – rather he watches the world happily waiting for his next chance at affection. He likes to crawl into your soul for cuddles. Patricio is a distemper survivor who has a slight tic in his jaw as a result. This brave boy not only survived distemper, but hasn’t let that impact his happiness. Whoever gets this little man is very lucky. Patricio is medium energy – happy to accompany you whenever and wherever. Check him out here: https://www.instagram.com/pvcaanimalrescue/reel/DRTWFowkZ0P/ If you think you might be his chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Story
8 year old Yesenia is a lab x boxer looking for a home. Yesenia was surviving when kind strangers might feed her, but had to be a strong resilient girl. They suspect she may have been used for breeding and was subjected to having her tail docked. When they no longer wanted her they just left her to fend for herself. Yesenia reads people well and likes to be comforted by them. Yesenia prefers male dogs and isn’t a fan of cats. She is spayed and vaccinated, weighing a perfect 45 lbs. If you think you might be Yesenia’s second chance, she’d love to hear from you by emailing us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or going direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw. Please check your junk mail in case we get redirected.
