Story
Dondon and her family were rescued last winter from a small village where they were struggling to survive in the cold and without food. After being rescued, Dondon and her family were taken to our partner boarding house where they have been living with other dogs. Dondon is a friendly and social girl who loves to play and interact with people and other dogs. She is gentle and affectionate and enjoys receiving pets and attention from humans. However, it’s important to note that Dondon has had limited life experiences and may need some time to adjust to a new home and environment. Her ideal adopter is a family living in a quiet neighborhood with a relaxed lifestyle and a secure fenced-in yard. It’s important for her to have a safe and secure space to play and explore. Her adopter should also be committed to continuing her socialization and be patient and supportive during her transition to a new home. The adoption fee is $760CAD. --------------- Dondon is a lab mix. 11months old, 9kg Spyed, vaccinated, and microchipped. For more info about the dog or adoption process, please follow the link below. Story
Sweetie was one of the 101 dogs who were rescued from the Siheung dog meat farm in Korea in May along with her siblings when they were small puppies. After her rescue, she lived at our partner boarding house where she played well and made friends easily with other dogs. We named her such as she is the most social of her siblings. While others were shy in the beginning, Sweetie opened up the quickest, asking for pets and attention. She likes to follow the volunteers around and is curious as to what they are doing. She does very well with the other dogs at the boarding house, as she spent her whole life around other dogs. Sweetie's ideal home is one living a relaxed lifestyle in a house with a secure backyard. Her adopter should be committed to continuing her socialization with people and other dogs, and have the time to spend with her as she is still young. It is important to note that due to her young age, Sweetie has limited life experience, so new sights and sounds in a new environment could take some adjustment for her. Having another canine sibling in the household is highly preferred, but not a requirement for adoption. The adoption fee is $760CAD. Sweetie is a 1.5yr old female lab and jindo mix. 16kg Spayed, micochipped and vaccinated. For more info about the dog, or adoption process, please follow the link below. Story
Yidi was rescued from a local highkill shelter in Paju, Korea two years ago. Since then she has been living with other dogs at a shelter. Yidi is an active girl who loves running and playing with other dogs. She does better with more submissive dogs than with bossy dogs. She will be good as the only dog in the household or with another submissive playful dog. When it comes to people, she is a little bit shy around strangers in the beginning. But it doesn’t take much time for her to get curious and start following them. Once she gets to know them, she becomes very affectionate, sweet, and snuggly. Her ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and enjoys outdoor activities with his/her fur baby. She is intuitive, smart, and a fast learner. With a little bit of training, Yidi will become a great fur companion. The adoption fee is $760 CAD. ---------------------- Yidi is a 2yr old female lab mix. Story
Sweet Daisy is looking for the right home where she can build her confidence and blossom into the best dog she can be! This special girl will need someone that is calm, patient, and understanding of her needs, as she is very fearful of new people and places. She likely has never been in a big city before, and will need a lot of time before she is comfortable exploring the world around her. Once Daisy is comfortable with someone she is absolutely darling, and loves to give kisses and sweet snuggles. She will need to have a yard to run around in, as she is super nervous about walks and hasn't quite worked her way up to being comfortable on leash. She will do best in a home without other animals, so that she has the space to grow and learn on her own terms.Interested in learning more about Daisy? Come visit him at the Vancouver Community Animal Centre or submit an application at https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-vancouver/. Story
This dog is located in Houston, TX and is available for adoption to this area. The adoption fee covers the transport cost as well. Sebastian is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky boy. He is approximately 6 years old. He is moderately active and loves ALL people. He is a major goof ball and is very playful. He was part of an effort to reduce a population of stray dogs in a rough part of Houston where a large group of strays were developing. Rescues came in and pulled a bunch until there was just Sebastian and another dog we think is related somehow. He was very nervous and in rough shape when he first came to the rescue. He had a huge scar on the top of his head that we think he was hit with something at point. He was very thin and had hair loss and was suffering from tons of intestinal parasites, heartworms, ear infections and untreated skin allergies. He is now completely healed, heartworm negative and on a special diet that has gotten rid of the skin issues and ear issues completely. He is now a very healthy boy who would love a forever home. He is nervous with new dogs and does much better with female dogs if they give him time to warm up to them. He is very playful and LOVES toys. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please email westhoustonanimalrescue@gmail.com for more info or an application. All our pups are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Our adoption process starts with an application and a vet reference.

Story
THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because we are an international rescue through Taiwan. The dogs are likely still in Taiwan and you will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport. International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】 Apply here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ ------------------------------------ Ellie’s rescue story: Little Ellie and her 3 sisters were abandoned in a cardboard box in a little village in central Taiwan when they were about 2 months old. They usually hid under cars and trucks for shade and fed on scraps or leftover. It is simply devastating to imagaine how these young pups lived on in such a harsh place where food and clean water were difficult to find. Worst of all, the villagers there are not friendly to stray dogs. A woman nearby with a mental disability claimed she would soon take these pups home for a reason that is best known to herself. Upon hearing it, the rescuer sprang into action immediately as she was deeply concerned about their safety. After she took all the pups in, she got them the best medical care she could offer and helped them get ready for future adoption. Now little Ellie is all set to find her own home and gets all the love and care she deserves. Meet Ellie! Ellie is a playful and stable young pup. She is always ready to greet people of all ages with her happy puppy wiggles. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, and especially enjoys her daily walkies with her human. When she moves into a new environment, she might be a bit skittish in the beginning. She warms up and blends in nicely after a proper introduction. She has great passion for treats (will do everything for meat jerky). Ellie might be an occasional enthusiastic chewer as her canine permanent teeth just started coming in, so make sure she has plenty of soft and flexible toys to chew on. Ellie is crate-trained and housebroken, potty trained both on pee pads and outside. Little Ellie is now looking for a loving home and for a chance to shower you with much love and joy! Please watch Ellie’s videos to learn more about her. If you are interested in this little lovebug, feel free to contact us for more information or simply fill out the adoption form on our website.

Story
Fanny, a very sweet dog. She currently is staying with a foster home in Sunnyvale, CA. If you are interested in this sweet girl, please fill out the adoption form on our website here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ ------------------------------------ Fanny’s Rescue Story Fanny and Farrah, the black and brindle sisters, were found wandering in a night market in a rural area in central Taiwan. They were both spayed and eartipped by a TNR group. Though life was tough being a stray, they both got each other’s back and got to feed on food scraps there, mostly after a lengthy wait. One night, while Fanny was resting by the side of the road, a careless truck driver ran over her. Fanny howled and screamed out of pain. The driver did stop the truck and checked up on her. He saw that she was still breathing, and then he left this poor and injured dog behind, thinking she would recover by herself overnight! The rescuer was informed about Fanny’s terrible accident only the next day. Knowing the medical bills would probably cost an arm and a leg, she still sprang into action as she just couldn’t see a life vanish away while there was still hope. Little Fanny was soon transported to several pet hospitals as one vet even suggested a leg amputation surgery after he failed Fanny’s first fracture repair surgery. The rescuer drove Fanny around and visited several famous vets in town, hoping to find miracles to treat Fanny’s fatal comminuted fracture and pelvic fracture. It’s true that “when things look black, there’s always a silver lining.” After examining all the X-rays and medical test results, a vet said that he was confident that Fanny could run free again just as she did before. Little Fanny marveled at her recovery from fatal injuries. Now the fracture is fully healed and all the surgical metal plate and pins have been removed. Fanny can now run around in the park like lightning with her doggie friends. Fanny the supergirl is all set to find her forever home and gets all the love and care she deserves. Meet Fanny Fanny is the sweetest girl who is eager to please, very smart and trainable. She’s potty trained, crate trained, great with kids and other dogs. She loves cuddles and being around her human. She rides well in a car and is also very polite and takes treats gently from hands. She must have been bullied hard by some naughty kids before, as she becomes skittish and nervous if kids approach her with big body movements. Otherwise, she’s a sweetie pie with an angelic personality. Fanny is so incredibly grateful for her life with a comfy bed and hot meals now that she usually waits nicely and patiently when her human runs errands . She is a one-of-a-kind sweetheart that you’ve been looking for. Little Fanny is now looking for a loving home and for a chance to shower you with much love and joy! Please watch Fanny’s videos to learn more about her. If you are interested in this black beauty with a big heart, feel free to contact us for more information or simply fill out the adoption form on our website.

Suri, a very sweet dog. She currently is staying with a foster home in Sultan, WA. If you are interested in this sweet girl, please fill out the adoption form on our website here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ Personality: Suri is very friendly with all people including children. She comes up to the people first and ask for attention and play. She can be petted everywhere. Because she still has her puppy energy, she gets excited and try to jump on people. She is a active, excited and independent dog who doesn’t think too deeply about a situation. She often reminds us of an energetic Labrador mixed dog. She loves people and is always friendly and active. If the adopter is willing to give her proper puppy training, she will be a very good companion. Suri is get along well with cats. The foster has a cat and she is good with the cat. Suri is also good in the car. She doesn’t get carsick and enjoys the ride by looking out of the window. She is both indoor and outdoor potty trained. However, she prefers to go outside for potty. If she really has to go, she uses the indoor pads, but she whines when she urgently has to go to ask for a potty walk. For food, she guards her food bowl from other dogs. Even after she finishes her food, she goes to other dog and watch for an opportunity to take over the food. When this happens, she growls at the other dog to move away from the food bowl. So the foster currently feeds Suri separately in a crate. When people take her food and toys, she’s fine. Again, she is not really aggressive, just showing some pressure on other dogs. And for cats, she was indifferent and not interested. The cat didn’t come near her food, too.
