Story
Young Rudy, born Feb 2024 was found one morning as a very young puppy buried in dirt near the shelter. He was taken into the SPCA PV sanctuary, and they learned that he was buried to soothe burns on his back where his hair is now discoloured. He currently weighs 22 lbs, we think he’ll grow to be about 45-50 lbs. He was lucky that one of our sweet mamma pups Keisha took him under her wing to give him the love he should still get as a young pup. He’s a playful boy that would love a yard and adventures, and maybe even a welcoming dog friend. He has been good with cats (though exposure is limited). Rudy is healthy and ready to fly. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island) or Seattle in fall when flights resume. If you think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
Rocket is the dream dog that will take you to the moon and back. He has been in a wonderful foster home who has been working on his training and growth, they have the following to say: In the 2 months that he’s been in foster, Rocket has made incredible strides in his learning and will easily become a wonderful addition to any adoptive home. While shy at first, Rocket quickly warms up to people who are calm, offer structure, and give him lots of treats and play. A potential family should keep in mind that he is still training – he can jump and run with lots of energy, but with the correct guidance, Rocket becomes the perfect people dog. His foster has introduced him to people of all age groups, including young kids (3- to 12-year-olds) and adults of all shapes and sizes without incident. Through his training, Rocket has shown that he can pick up lots of behaviors quickly. People who work with him should give him lots of treats (Rocket fuel) and play to build trust and confidence while any training is ongoing. Rocket is housebroken, crate trained and has already picked up many of the basics (e.g., sit, down, offering paws, jumps and spins) and handling (paw handling, opening mouth, bathing) behaviors. That said, there is still lots for him to learn! His foster thinks that continuing his training around other dogs and distractions can help build his focus. Some things he can work on are learning to focus on his human when around distractions and avoiding roughhousing when playing with other dogs. With the proper attention and care, Rocket will shine in whatever life he finds himself in – either as a working dog, a service animal, or a wonderful family companion. Rocket is a soul that is athletic, attentive, incredibly smart and very sweet. He is loved dearly by his foster and everyone he meets, who only wish for Rocket to have the best life with an amazing family. Story
# 🐾 Hello, I'm Harp! 🐾 안녕하세요! That's how I say hello in my native Korean. I'm Harp, a 6-year-old Lab Retriever-Jindo mix with a fluffy white coat that's perfect for snuggles. I'm a bit of a big girl, weighing 23.5 kg, but that just means there's more of me to love. ## My Journey 🏡 My adventure began one autumn day in 2018 when I found myself at an elementary school. The police were called, and I ended up in a shelter, but thankfully, my current rescuer brought me to safety. Now, I'm dreaming of a forever home where I can share all the love in my big heart. ## A Glimpse Into My Heart 💖 I'm all about affection and don't mind showing my belly to anyone who's kind enough to give me a pat. I adore children and am always gentle, especially when snacks are involved. ## My Playful Side 🎾 I'm a friendly gal and like to greet everyone, even dogs I've never met before. I do get a bit overwhelmed by high-energy pups, and I need a careful introduction to new doggy friends, especially if toys are around. ## My Leisure Time 🌳 I love a good romp outdoors, but I'm also quite content to rest quietly after some fun. I'm learning not to pull on the leash and usually follow along nicely. ## My Manners and Quirks 🍽️ I'm not one to guard my food around people, but I do tell other dogs to keep their distance when I'm eating. I'm calm in a kennel and have no trouble hopping into a car for a ride. ## A Little Request 🙏 I might get a bit growly if another dog barks or runs around me too much, but I've never bitten anyone. I'm working on not being possessive over my toys and food, and I could use some help with that. ## Looking for My Human 🏠 Are you the one who will give me the gentle care and patience I need? In return, I promise to be your loyal companion, your playful partner, and a source of endless affection. For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jw66dM68ClYUbI05X1rzHzi

Story
I'm Becky, a 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever looking for my forever home. I've had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned near a rural chicken coop, but thanks to some kind souls, I've been rescued. I'm a social butterfly with a heart as big as my paws. It doesn't take me long to warm up to new people—I'll be nudging you for pets and belly rubs in no time. I get along great with other dogs, always up for a playdate and ready to make new friends. However, I do have a bit of a protective soul, so if another dog challenges me, I might stand my ground. Just something to keep in mind. I'm well-behaved on walks, although I might need a gentle reminder not to pull too hard on the leash. When it comes to strangers, I'll give a little bark to let you know someone's approaching, but I'm calm and collected in my kennel. I'm an outdoor enthusiast when it comes to bathroom breaks—I prefer the great outdoors for that. And did I mention how smart I am? I've mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. I might not guard my food, but if another dog tries to sneak a nibble, I'll definitely let out a warning growl. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a lifetime of tail wags, paw prints, and unconditional love? If you think we could be the perfect match, come meet me! I can't wait to bring joy and companionship to your home. Story
🐶 Quick Facts! • Name: Mamba • Age: 2 years old • Gender: Female • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Labrador mix • Colour: Black • Weight: 22kg 🌱All about me🐕 Hello guys. I’m Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat! I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human’s guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate. I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic. Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely. I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you! 💛 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa4UUrmvSDs&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwHBnPF_KsehZgU-TysGeyW

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Stella, Lady JANUs, A Retriever in Disguise 🐶 Our Stella seems so shy in her crate. Her demeanor says it all: calm and poised. Once she steps on the ground, though, our Stella changes 180 degree. She becomes another self, energetic and always up for fun. She is playful and gets along well with other dogs. Stella keeps her place as clean as a whistle. Stella takes time to eat by tasting and savouring each kibble. This habit makes other dogs jealous because Stella’s neighbours consume their own kibbles in a flash! There is so much love in those beautiful eyes. Once Stella warms up to you, she will be your loyal companion for life. Stella needs a family who can help her for her daily walk. Can you embark on a journey with her to show how beautiful this world can be?
