Story
NINNETTE Meet your new dream girl. Ninnette. She is a happy, bouncy, loving girl and will need an active family who gives her lots of reassurance to make her feel safe. Older kids ok, but she is a bit too spunky for young, smaller kids. She came in off the streets — possibly after a year or more on her own — and she hasn't forgotten it. She's cautious with new people and new places, takes her time, reads the room. But once she decides you're her person? You'll know it. She becomes the most devoted, affectionate little shadow you've ever had. She's house and crate trained, sharp as a tack, and endlessly playful. She gets along best with dogs smaller than her while politely ignoring the cats and tortoise. Grooming is part of life — baths aren't her favorite, but with a little patience and a lot of love, she takes it in stride like the good girl she is. She will always need grooming to keep her cost under control from matting. Her favorite place in the world is wherever you are. She'll spend her nights curled up beside you — until she quietly slips away to her own spot, where she can stretch out and dream about running marathons. She is loyal, loving, and worth every bit of care it takes to earn her trust. She does have some separation anxiety. We feel like she would be best in a home that is on the water, boats, etc...she seems really drawn to the water. She would absolutely need to be on leash whenever she is not in the home so she does not end up out in the wild like she was before. 🙁 She needs a good fenced yard. She is up to date on vaccinations, preventative, and is spayed. www.emeraldcoastpetrescue.com/adopt

Story
Luna is mostly a good dog but she has destroyed our back yard by digging holes and chewing up everything she can move on her own. We love her but my wife and I both work and cannot give her the attention she really needs. She is wonderful with kids, we have a 4 and 2 year old, she just doesn’t realize how big she is sometimes and is relatively excitable. We adopted her from a co-op and expected her to stop growing around 50 pounds but i believe she has grown to around 70 now. She is around 8 months old now. We have not had any problems with aggressive behavior and she is not protective of resources, nor does she feel the need to eat all her food in the bowl at once. Mostly she is just to big and to energetic for the space we have available for her, especially with us expecting another baby soon.

Story
Meet Minnie 🐾 Minnie is a sweet three year-old lab mix who is looking for her forever home. She is spayed and fully up-to-date on vaccinations as of March 1, 2026; all vet costs have been covered, so she won’t need shots again for about a year. She is 36lbs. She is small for her breed in size (height and weight). She’s an active, loving girl who enjoys walks, being outdoors, and having a dog friend to play with. She gets along well with other dogs, but would do best in a home where she can have consistency. With a baby at home and a busy travel schedule in our family as we will be going out of town for work multiple times a month, we want Minnie to have more time and freedom than what I am currently able to give. I’ve been fighting this decision for the last year, but my husband will no longer allow me to keep her. She’s loyal, affectionate, and ready to be someone new adventure buddy and best friend.

Story
Breed is best guess based on behavior and looks. Embark DNA is waiting for return. Bonnie is tiny for a Ridgeback mix but she has many characteristics of the breed. She is currently only 40lbs. Bonnie is in a house with both large and small dogs and loves them all. She is shy at first but once she warms up, she's ready to get the snuggle on!!! Bonnie is doing great on house training and even knows the doggy door. She is working on basic obedience but is fully crate trained and loves playing fetch. She'd do great as a walking buddy or just someone to lounge around the house with when she's played hard all day.

Story
Dixxie is the best little big dog you'll ever need. She is only about 35lbs and won't be much bigger. She LOVES to be with her person but also gets along with dogs of all ages and sizes. She is great with cats as well. She is working hard on house training and with continued consistency she'll continue to succeed. We were told Dixxie was a chihuahua/lab mix but that doesn't really fit her. We have done her DNA through Embark and she does have some bully in there and the results can be shared with her new people. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, you can fill our out application here! https://form.jotform.com/92606830603151 Please see photos for Dixxie's Embark DNA
