Story
Meet Oliver! Ollie is a 4 (almost 5) year old black lab mix. He was rescued about 3 years ago from a rescue that has since shut down for extreme abuse and neglect. He is a great dog inside and is very obedient. He does have a bite history with other dogs and would need to be the only pet in a home. He has extreme reactivity and sometimes aggression towards other dogs and cats. Oliver needs a backyard with a 6 foot fence where he does not have to deal with the constant stress of being leashed and going on walks. He has been seeing a trainer for a while now, and he does seem to be improving with his general anxiety and his reactivity. I know how to sit, stay, and lay down! I am a very fast learner! Oliver needs someone who will understand him fully and wants to take this opportunity to practice training and building a relationship with a loving but difficult dog. He is diagnosed with Hip dysplasia but takes medication to manage the pain. No dogs, no cats, no experience with kids.

Socks is a 43-pound chocolate beauty with a confusing past. When her original owners moved away, they left her with a neighbor who, unfortunately, couldn’t afford to keep her. Now at the shelter, Socks is shy and unsure in this new environment, but her gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. She loves people, is friendly, and is good with kids. She’s lived with other dogs (but not cats) and will need a little help with potty training. With patience and love, Socks will blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be.

I love being where the action is and am known for being super friendly to visitors—I thrive on being with people. I`m also quite the talker and enjoy expressing myself. Because I bond so strongly, I can be protective of my person, always keeping a watchful eye over you. Good news for my future family: I`m already house and crate trained, and I walk well on a leash. If you need a clever and loyal companion, I`m your pup.
