Story
Sassy is approximately 5 years old and was found as a stray. She is a poodle that weighs 6 lbs. This timid, shy girl will need a very quiet home with no children and a fenced yard. She is afraid of everything but wants so badly to be loved. She has come around a lot since coming to PAWS but is still very shy and afraid. Once you get her in your arms, she is good to be loved and held. She needs someone who will give her the time, love and patience to come out of her shell and be the sweet little girl that I see glimpses of while she is hanging out in the lobby or following me around! Her adoption fee is $350. She has been spayed, microchipped, up to date on her Parvo/Distemper shots and her rabies shot. She is heartworm negative and has been started on heartworm preventative. If interested, you will need to go to pawspaws.org (go to your search engine and type that in) to complete the PAWS application. I won't be able to respond to emails asking if she is still available - if she is still pictured on Adopt a Pet, she is still available. Her picture may not be on our website but as long as she is on Adopt A Pet, she is still available for applications. Please be sure to complete the application in detail and provide all vet information including the name of the heartworm prevention you use or used, even if your pet has passed away or is no longer with you. Thanks so much for your interest in her! I know the right home is out there with the caring and loving heart that she needs to give her the life she so deserves!!!

Story
Gracie was surrendered because the big dogs in the house were picking on her. She is a poodle who is probably around 8 years old. She does have some issues with her back legs which the vet said were probably genetic so she has walked "funny" her entire life. She was also covered in fleas so her skin will need time to heal. She is a loving girl who needs a quiet home with no children and a lap to sit in. Please consider opening your heart to her. Your life will be so full with this girl to share it. Her adoption fee is $150. She is spayed and will be microchipped and heartworm tested, have a rabies shot and her annual shot within the next few days.

Story
Jet, loving known as Jetter Jetter Jetski, came to PAWS after the person who had him and his brother broke their jaws. Bennie's was a clean break and healed quickly. He is enjoying life with a wonderful mom and dad who love him very much. Unfortunately, Jet's jaw was shattered beyond repair. After many vet visits and consultations, it seemed that the best plan of action was to wait until he was a year old (after all of his growing was complete) and then try to replace the jaw. We had a surgeon lined up and the appointment made but he suddenly decided he did not want to try the procedure. But the good news is that during all of the waiting time, Jet has flourished and grown, despite all of the odds against him. He is a 75 lb, full of life, ready to play, energetic, take on the world, boy! It is now the opinion of the vets that he can live a full and happy life just as he is, without jaw replacement. Yes, he has a disability that requires that he can only eat canned food but that has not stopped him from doing everything that every other dog does. He can tear up stuffed toys with the best of them! He will require a home with someone who can devote the time to making sure he eats only canned food and is never given any hard food or treats that might become lodged and choke him. He will be best in a home with no children. He likes other dogs but tends to play very rough and all out! If you are ready to welcome this very special, precious boy into your home, please go to https://www.pawspaws.org to complete the application. His adoption fee is $200.00.
