Story
Paris is a one year-old labrador retriever. She’s about 50 lbs and is a short girl about knee height.  She also needs a family willing to train her daily. She's a work in progress.  Paris has a super soft black coat with brown undertones that shine through in the light. She will require regular brushing.   She’s been doing great with house training and I haven’t had any accidents here but we go out regularly so I’m not confident she’s actually house trained.  Paris enjoys the company of other dogs and still working on the dynamics of dog to dog relationship.  I imagine as she feels more secure that her true personality will come out.  I can go into more details about this once we have an application.   Paris reminds me of a dog that was kept in a kennel for the first year of her life.  Although super friendly and puppy like when she knows you, she is scared of most new things outside of her safe zone.  I have been working hard at opening up her world and making things less scary for her.  She’s finally walking on a leash outside of my home, meeting new people and learning that cars are allowed to pass by and won’t hurt her.    She is still working on manners and tricks.  I’ve taught her sit, down and place so far.  We are working on shake.  She’s so smart!  She’s also an excellent cuddler.   Paris does require a secure fenced yard. Kids are ok if respectful of her space.  Please visit www.trackingintheshadows.com to fill out an application. Her adoption fee is $200 Must live within an hour of Elkhart IN.  All animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. We do not adopt to homes with electric/underground fencing. Once approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet. Approved adopters should be prepared to bring Paris home within 1–3 days of approval. ##2769224##
