Story
Meet Nash! Looking for a fun-loving, playful best friend? Nash is your guy! This handsome 3-year-old terrier mix is full of energy, personality, and love to give. His favorite pastime? Chasing and carrying around his beloved jolly ball—he never tires of it and will happily show off his skills to anyone who watches! Nash gets along with some dogs, but he’d really thrive as the star of the show or with a carefully matched canine buddy. Because he prefers a calmer environment, Nash would do best in a quieter home with older kids who can join in on the fun without too much hustle and bustle. Smart, loyal, and ready for adventure, Nash is looking for an active family who can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him the peace and comfort he craves. If you’ve been searching for a dog that will bring joy, laughter, and endless fetch sessions into your life, Nash can’t wait to meet you!   If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Clicking the "Ask About" button does not submit an application. It only submits a question which will delay an application submission.    All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A dogs adoption fee is $200.  There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.   If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an online application here: www.heartlandsmallanimalrescue.org/canine-application.html. ##1383930##

Story
Winnie was found on our way to Church one Sunday morning just a 1/2 mile from our home tied to a speed limit sign. We could not understand how anyone could do this. She was also very overweight. 120 lbs. This was almost 3 years ago. She nows weight approximately 70 lbs. She is due for her updated shots this March. She is approx 5 yrs old. She is a good dog but unfortunately she does not get along with our other dogs. This is more due to my other dog and not her fault, but I feel like she would do best in a 1 dog home. We need to keep them separated and this is just getting to be too much for my husband and I. Winnie loves carrots and ice cubes. She loves to play catch. She is house trained and knows basic commands..sit, lay down. We currently have 5 cats in our home and she gets along with them all. She loves attention and is good around kids. We just want to find a loving home for her. If you are looking for a companion, she would always be by your side.

This handsome young lab mix is ready for adventure and fun. Dagwood needs a home that will provide structure and training, so his wonderful personality can shine. Dagwood will need a fenced yard and older children because of his enthusiastic nature.
