Story
Fall in love in February. For the entire month, all dogs and cats are only $14.00! So with an approved application, you can take your new Valentine home. Lucky is a male Labrador Retriever mixed doggy who is about 4.5 years old. He was surrendered to us with his friend Mustang after their owner passed away. Lucky is sweet and sensitive and can be a bit nervous at first, so needs a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Then he shows off his loving and gentle nature. He is dog selective, so careful introductions are important. He would probably do best with older children who can respect his boundaries. He is described as a 'Wallflower'. Shy yet charming canine searching for a patient owner with a relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom. (Internally motivated). It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young). Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. . Cats will be vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. . All animals will be bathed and treated for fleas/ear mites. Microchipping will take place at the time of adoption. Adoption fees: Cats - $105 for one or only $150 for two! Story
Fall in love in February. For the entire month, all dogs and cats are only $14.00! So with an approved application, you can take your new Valentine home. Hercules is a Retriever and Lab mixed pup who is just under 1 year old. He has a big name and an even bigger personality. Hercules will make you laugh every single day. Whether he’s chasing his own tail, bouncing after a favorite toy, or flashing those irresistible puppy eyes, he’s pure joy on four paws. He’s playful, affectionate, and still very much a puppy, so he’s looking for a family ready for fun, love, and a little bit of happy chaos. He will bark at cats, but does not try to hurt them. Good with other dogs that can handle his excitement with play. Loves toys, very kissy, and has a wiggle butt that doesn't stop when happy. He is described as a 'Goofball'. I’m a fun-loving, happy-all-the-time, glass-is-half-full kind of dog looking for someone who loves to laugh and play around. Must have a great sense of humor and some time to spend with me. I’m a dog on a mission to please you. (Socially motivated). Per his previous foster mom: Herky is a very happy boy that loves people, playing with his toys, and prancing around, holding his head up proudly. He loves greeting people and everyone says what a good and happy boy he is. When he is greeting people he can get a little up close and personal, but is always so sweet. He is an excellent guard dog with just the right amount of bark to be protective when someone is near the house, and doesn't bark without good reason. He loves snagging up tissues and napkins, so be warned not to leave those laying within his reach, unless you don't mind picking up the pieces later. He is good at entertaining himself. He loves going out on walks, running around freely, and plays really well with other dogs. He is learning sit, come, and stay. Since Hercules is still a puppy, it's best not to leave him unattended inside the house. He can't seem to help himself and probably get into something that he shouldn't. It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young). Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. .
