Story
Meet our handsome black Labradoodle Dexter. At 8 years old, he still has the energy and playful spirit of a much younger dog. He’s full of personality, loves attention, and would thrive with someone who has the time, patience, and space to help him burn off his energy and enjoy life to the fullest. He is not neutered and has not had much exposure to other animals, so we are unsure how he does in homes with pets. Because of that, a slow introduction or being the only pet may be best until his comfort level is known. This decision has been incredibly difficult for our family, but due to relocation, we are unfortunately unable to bring him with us. We want nothing more than to find him a loving, stable home where he can get the attention, exercise, and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with lots of energy and love to give, he may be the perfect fit for you.

Story
Hi, My name is Rocky! Although I had only lived in a shelter for my 1st 10 mos of life, I am learning that living in a home is awesome! I'm a big ole baby, and my foster family says I don't realize that I'm too big to be a lap dog. That doesn't stop me from trying though. I'm sweet, goofy and playful, and so grateful for affection and attention. I like other dogs and ignore cats, as they don't impress me much. I'd prefer to be involved in everything my humans do and follow them around like a shadow. I also love toys, tennis balls, treats and an occasional cupcake from the counter, although I'm learning that isn't the right way to get food. I'm crated trained and now potty trained. My history, I was pulled from the St Tammany Parish Shelter during their "Fight for 50" campaign during recent Mayday status. I didn't do anything wrong, but because no one had adopted me, I was one of the longest residents and ran out of time. Thankfully I didn't lose my life, but I still don't have a home. Story
Baby is an adorable "low rider" and a great companion dog. She loves people and is good with kids. She greets you with an immediate roll over to get a belly rub and would stay in that position all day if she could. Such a sweetheart, but she does not like to share that companionship with other dogs or cats, so she must be an only pet. If you don't plan to have more than one, please consider giving Baby her chance at a forever home. . Story
Hi, I'm Rory. I'm a bit of a wallflower at first, but don't let that fool you. Once I get to know you, my playful side comes out. I love a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. I'm cautious, too. I like to take my time getting to know new people and places. But once I'm comfortable, I'm all about the cuddles and belly rubs. I'm also good with other dogs. I enjoy their company and we usually become fast friends. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who will take the time to understand me and help me come out of my shell. If you're patient and kind, I promise to repay you with loyalty and affection. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together.
