Story
Meet Duke, a 4-month-old, 27-pound Labrador Retriever mix with a happy, affectionate personality and a serious love for being near his people.
Duke is crate trained, doing very well with potty training, and already knows how to sit. He is smart, eager to learn, and highly treat motivated, which should make continued training fun and rewarding. He has gentle manners, soft paws, and an adorable little nub tail that seems to be wagging more often than not.
He enjoys spending time outside and takes his yard-inspection duties very seriously—every corner deserves a good sniff. Duke also loves being close to his people, whether that means relaxing on the couch, hanging out around the house, or following along for whatever the day brings.
Duke does well with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. He is also good with kids and would love a home where he can truly be part of the family. He may even alert you when another dog is nearby—and he has already appointed himself head of household security when the vacuum comes out.
Duke is a sweet, social, and playful young dog with a lot of love to give. He is looking for a family who will continue helping him learn, grow, and become the wonderful companion he is already well on his way to being.
Dukes adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website.
