Story
I got Sami from the humane society in Omaha. He was born in February of 2024. He immediately warmed up to me. He is a super sweet, loyal boy. However, he has anxiety about other people. He has a hard time around my roommates or friends, shaking and cowering when he sees them. He has never been aggressive, like biting. He does bark when someone comes into the house or if he hears something outside, like a car. He comes out of his shell and seems more comfortable when around other dogs. In a new home, I think Sami would need someone patient and willing to work with him on his anxiety. Not too many people in the home would probably be better. He is also a very active boy. Daily long walks needed and trips to the dog park so he can run around. He also loves playing with chew toys. When left alone and bored, he sometimes chewed things up like charging cords. He is potty trained and does great in a kennel.

Story
Safari is a 5 1/2 yr old black lab. We have had her since she was a puppy. We acquired her at Dolly’s rescue. Safari is very playful and likes to just explore with the people she loves. She loves to be outside and play. She is really good with kids and other dogs. She does put here hackles up when meeting other dogs, but only because she gets really excited and that only lasts for a very short time. I’ve taken her to several dog parks over the years and she has done just fine with that. She loves to be off leash. She does walk on leash and can pull. We have used a gentle leader with her and she does great with that. She is a great dog and loves to give kisses. We are wanting to rehome her because we are not able to give her the life she deserves. She is cooped up in the house more than she can be free outside. We can no longer give her the time and love that she used to get. We are relocating to a different state and home where there is less freedom for her. She deserves better.

Story
Some dogs are born to be the center of attention. Quinn is the kind of dog who simply makes life better by being part of it. This sweet, even-tempered hunting dog mix has the rare ability to match the energy of the people around her. She enjoys playing with other dogs, though she's polite enough to introduce herself before jumping into the fun, and she absolutely adores people—including young children. Whether she's joining a busy family on their daily adventures or quietly keeping one special person company, Quinn is happiest when she's surrounded by love. She has an adventurous side, too. She enjoys mud wrestling, burrowing into cozy spots, taking leisurely walks to sniff every flower she can find... and occasionally taste-testing those flowers just to be sure they're interesting. Quinn approaches the world with gentle curiosity and a joyful spirit that makes even ordinary days feel a little brighter. Quinn is doing great with housetraining, is crate trained, and continues to build on the excellent manners she's already developed. She gets along well with other dogs after a brief introduction, loves people of all ages, and would fit beautifully into an active home where she will go on plenty of adventures and get ample exercise. She is enjoying life's simple pleasures, and she'd love a family that will include her in walks, adventures, and plenty of cuddle time. Three things you must know about Quinn: she's wonderfully adaptable and easy to love, she's gentle with people and friendly with other dogs, and she'll happily make herself at home wherever she's loved—whether that's a bustling household or a peaceful one. Quinn is a growing female All-American Rescue/Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur mix who was was born approximately 4-27-26. She is spayed, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given flea/tick preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website.
