Story
Dixie is a very sweet 6 year old lab/cross. We want to rehome her because we have two dogs and we would like to only have one for expense and ease. She is very good with kids and other dogs. She is an outdoor farm dog, but sleeps in the garage every night and comes in the house during thunderstorms and fireworks. She is kennel trained and has never went to the bathroom in the garage or house unless she is sick. She would make a very good house dog and loves when we let her in. She has run away from home, but usually because of a storm or fireworks/guns when we haven’t been home to put her in. She HATES loud noises and will try to be very close to any person when she hears them. Her biggest fault is that she loves too much. That, coupled with her high strung energy can be a bit of a handful. She loves licking faces and being in personal space trying to get some petting. She also jumps up into the face of every new person she encounters. She is NEVER aggressive, just lovey.

Story
Brownie Sundae, is a delicious sweet treat! He is a lovable 4 month old lab mix puppy that adores people, children and dogs. This little 16.5 pound boy is a parvo survivor that is looking for his forever family to share his devotion and life with! Brownie has so much to share and is such a fun puppy to be around. He loves his chew toys, playing tug, bouncing around as he explores life, his humans and all dogs he has met . He will literally cuddle up and snuggle with anyone! He is still learning manners but is very smart and catches on quickly to redirection. This good boy that happily  sleeps throughout the night in his kennel or puppy pen. He hasn't been able to work on potty training much due to parvo restrictions but is very good about always finding his puppy pad so we know he  will likely be a quick learner. He has been in a home with two bigger dogs and loves to join right in with play time. He has also been fantastic  kids (ages 2, 4 and 6 years). Since he is learning all about life and takes cues from his furry siblings, we are requiring him to go into a home with other dogs. His perfect home will also have a fenced in yard and he'd love to have children of his own. No apartments for this guy as he does love a good bark when playing! If you're ready to start your spring with a best friend by your side apply for the delectable Brownie Sundae at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application. Adoption fee includes up to date vaccinations, neutering at the appropriate age by our vets and microchipping. ADOPTION DONATION FEE $400 PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. She loves to hug and give her paws when you say gimme ur paw. Loves scritchems and Sqwatchies. She has a loud bark. Will bark at strangers, but once she knows you she is a baby! Does sleep in bed with us, will sleep in kennel if needed. She will eat all day if you leave her food out. Best to have set meal times. If other pets she will eat their food too. Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
Acer was rescued from a previously neglect and malnourished environment. When we offered to take him in we were unaware of the extent of his neglect. He is a very sweet Dog and is great with other Dogs and kids. He requires a level of care and attention that is unrealistic for our house environment and busy schedule. He has gotten much better the 6 month we have had him but he has muscle issues from lack of food and from being immobile for so long. He struggles to walk and would be best suited in a home without a lot of stairs. He does love the yard and running and playing with neighbors dogs the best he can. He most likely needs physical therapy and attentive training to attended to his potential recovery. He also has a sensitive stomach and struggles to eat since his jaw muscles never developed properly from lack of eating during his key development ages. He just turned 3 and has a lot of potential, he just needs a home that can be more attentive and intentional with his recovery.

Story
My name is Dallas, and I am a sweet Texas boy seeking my forever home! My perfect human or (humans) should be ready to take me on lots of adventures and will be happy to know that I am doing very good with walking on a leash. They will also need to be able to keep up with my big energy and puppy playfulness! I will need a home with a fenced yard with lots of room to run. I cannot live in an apartment; I wouldn't be happy without my own yard to romp and play fetch in – and I am a very good fetcher! My foster mom says I am a quick learner. I can sit, lay down, and can stay, though that last one is a little hard for me when I get excited about things! I think I could probably learn some other cool things too if my forever family wants to teach me! I’ve also been getting the hang of the whole potty-training thing. My foster parents tell me to “go potty” when I go outside, and I know what they mean. I try to take care of that as soon as possible so I can move on to more fun things! I really enjoy playing with the other dogs in my foster home and think it would be great to have a dog to play with in my forever home too. I also keep trying to befriend the cats in my foster home, but they don’t seem to like me very much – I can’t understand why!? It’s not my favorite thing, but I am also doing well staying in a kennel when I must, even all through the night with no issues. Boy, I can’t wait to stretch my legs in the yard every morning though! I'm still a pup and want to share my days & nights with very own person or family. If my other qualities haven’t sold you on me, then I guess I’ll have to bring up my good looks too! Have you seen my photos? Checked out my handsome smile? What adventures await us? I'm ready to go! Dallas is a male German Shorthair Pointer. He was born approximately 12-14-22 and weighs 51 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website.
