Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Scoobert – Your Goofy, Lovable Adventure Buddy! Hi there, I’m Scoobert—and yep, I really do live up to my name! My foster mom says I’m just as goofy, sweet, and snack-obsessed as the real Scooby-Doo, and honestly… I think that’s a pretty great reputation to have. Especially because I lovetreats—I'll sit, stay, and happily head right into my crate for one of those tasty “Scooby Snacks!” I’m always ready for an adventure—whether it’s a walk around the block, playing with a new squeaky toy, or exploring the backyard. One of my favorite games is hide-and-seek… and let me tell you, I’m really good at it—I always win! After I’ve had my fun, I’m all about the naps. I’m crate trained and hang out there while my foster mom is at work. I get along great with other dogs, especially if they’re ready to play, because I am all about playtime! I even met a cat once and did great. I’m still a young guy, so if you’re looking for a pup with that fun, playful puppy energy, I’m your guy! But the one thing I’m still missing? A forever home of my own. I’m dreaming of a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them. If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, cuddly companion who’s always up for an adventure and a snuggle, I just might be your perfect match. Apply to meet me today at BuffaloCares.org—let’s go find our next great mystery together! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Albert, and I’m a 5-month-old Black Lab mix searching for my forever family! Don't let the "Lab" part fool you—I’m a pint-sized little guy weighing in at just 20 pounds of pure love and puppy energy. I’m a total sweetheart who loves going on outdoor adventures, taking smooth rides in the car, and discovering new things. I’m also a certified foodie who eats like a champ and will do just about anything for a good treat! After a fun day of exploring, my favorite thing in the world is cuddling up right in your arms to fall asleep—if you listen closely, you might even hear a few tiny puppy snores! When it comes to making friends, I’m an absolute social butterfly. I adore playing with other pups and get along great with every dog I meet! I haven't officially met any cats yet, but since I'm still just a young pup, I should do great with them if we take things slow with a proper introduction. Whether we're wrestling in the yard or sharing toys, I’m always ready to bring playfulness and fun to the party. I’m a smart little boy and I’m already working hard on my big-dog manners. I am fully crate trained and sleep like a dream all night long without making a single peep! I do pretty well on a leash, though I’m still learning not to get too distracted by all the exciting scents out there. I’m also making progress on my potty training; I’m not quite 100% there yet, but with a routine and a few tasty treats, I know I'll master it in no time. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and adventurous sidekick to complete your home, I’m your guy! Apply for me today @BuffaloCares.org! Story
Lexi is a 5y.o., 36-pound Mini Goldendoodle who spent the first five years of her life as a puppy-mill mama. She came into rescue on August 21st and is slowly learning what life as a loved pet is all about. When Lexi first arrived, she was very shut down and unsure of her new surroundings. She is still finding her confidence, but she has already made some wonderful progress. She is drinking from the community water bowl, exploring more of the house, becoming comfortable with grass, and slowly gaining confidence on leash. She is also beginning to lean into her foster's hand for pets and wag her tail more. Lexi isn't ready to play yet, but her Shih Tzu foster siblings seem to help her feel more comfortable. She is very sweet and has been easy for her foster family, groomer, and veterinarians to handle. One of her biggest breakthroughs came on day 8 - when Lexi came over to greet her foster mom, then leaned in and gave her a kiss when foster mom got down low to pet her. These may seem like small things, but for Lexi, they are big steps. Lexi is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She has mild tartar that should be monitored by her primary veterinarian, along with routine tooth brushing. She also needs to lose approximately 7 pounds to reach a healthy weight. There is no doubt that Lexi still has a lot to learn, but she is already showing us just how wonderful she can be. Lexi's ideal home will have a fully fenced yard, at least one calm, confident dog to help her continue learning, and a patient, active family who is committed to her fitness journey and understands that she will need time to fully come out of her shell. Could your family be the right fit? Apply today! NY State Rescue Registry: RR363
