Story
Name:SadieDOB: 11/8/23Breed: GoldendoodleSex: FemaleWeight: 43 poundsLocation: Buffalo  Medical needs apply: please read the full bio to ensure you can provide the specific support Sadie requires  Sadie has a rare neuromuscular condition called paroxysmal dyskinesia.  Paroxysmal dyskinesia (PD) is a type of episodic movement disorder that is often mistaken for seizure activity. The cause isn't entirely understood, however it is usually genetic or associated with a dietary sensitivity to gluten. During Sadie's episodes she will become rigid, fall to her side, and appear to have stiffness of her muscles. Her episodes are usually short in duration, lasting less than five minutes, and after recovery Sadie is completely normal. Human patients with PD report that episodes are often nonpainful or associated with a mild to moderate cramping sensation; Sadie appears to experience only mild discomfort during her episodes. These episodes are not dangerous, however Sadie is unable to control when these episodes occur. We have improved the frequency of her episodes by switching Sadie to a gluten-free diet and administering phenobarbital twice daily. This condition is usually nonprogressive and has an excellent prognosis provided episodes are mild, infrequent, and self limiting.- Dr. Karson, Green Acres Neurologist Sadie made her way from Kentucky to Buffalo and is looking for her forever home. She can be shy at first, especially with other dogs. Eventually she warms up and wants to be your best friend. She is a sweet and gentle lady. Not sure if she’s good with cats, should be fine with kids and okay with other dogs after a bit of time! She is potty trained and crate trained. She will need some guidance on leash walking but does okay. She’s a little love bug looking for her forever home.  If you are interested in adopting Sadie, please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2585391##

MEET PEACH 9 Weeks Old | 8–9 lbs | Bully Doodle Mix | Female Snuggle Bug Alert! If you’re looking for a tiny best friend who doubles as a personal heating blanket… Peach is your girl This sweet little lady sleeps like a champ in her crate all night, but come morning? She is READY to shower you with love. Peach lives for cuddles, loves being picked up and held, and will happily nap in your arms any chance she gets. Expect a tiny shadow following you room to room — she falls hard and loves big Don’t let her size fool you… this girl is FEARLESS On her very first day in foster, she mastered stairs AND jumping off the couch (no hesitation!). And when it comes to tug-of-war with her bigger sibling? She may be outmatched… but she’s never out-hustled Peach is working hard on potty training and is already using a training pad by the door — she’s so close! With a little patience and consistency, she’s going to nail it. Cold weather isn’t her favorite though… if it’s chilly outside, she’ll politely attempt to climb up your legs like, “Excuse me, I belong indoors where it’s cozy.” She’s wonderful with kids, loves attention, and brings nonstop smiles wherever she goes. If you’re ready for a brave, funny, affectionate little cuddle queen to fill your home with love… Peach is waiting. (114) Apply today to meet her! buddysrescue.org   ##2668708##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there, I’m Jill! I’m a 2-year-old, Lab mix with the softest fur and big brown eyes that people can’t help but fall in love with. After you give me  a treat or two, I’ll be your loyal shadow and best snuggle buddy. I adore attention from my people — pets, belly rubs, and couch cuddles are my absolute favorite. And did I mention treats? Oh my goodness, those are the best! Offer me a snack, and I’ll happily follow you anywhere. Toys are also my jam — squeaky, chewy, bouncy, I love them all! I even enjoy romping around with my canine foster brother. He’s a little guy, so I make sure to play gently with him. After playtime, you’ll usually find me curled up on the couch with a good bone or snoozing the afternoon away. I’m also cat-friendly — I don’t mind them at all, even if they hiss or swat at me. When it comes to kids, I do better with older ones, since I’m still figuring out the little ones under 6.  It’s time for me to find my very own family. Could that be you? If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and snuggly girl to love forever, I’ll be waiting! Apply to adopt me at BuffaloCares.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there, I’m Rosie! I may be new to Buffalo, but I’ve already fallen in love with the people here — and I can’t wait to meet you! My journey started when my owner passed away, I ended up in a shelter for eight long months. One day, the staff told me there was no more room and… well… my time was almost up. But just in the nick of time, the amazing folks at Buffalo CARES swooped in and saved me. Now I’m safe, loved, and on the lookout for my forever family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 I’m a lab mix with a gorgeous coat that’s a little bit of magic. Everyone thought I was all black — but after a good bath from my foster dad, my secret was out! My body is actually a super dark, rich chocolate, with a black head and tail, plus a white chest and the cutest white toes. One of a kind? You bet. I’m all about fun and affection. I love toys and can happily entertain myself, but fetch is one of my favorite games (sometimes I even remember to bring the toy back!). Walks? Yes, please! Cuddles? Even better. I’m a certified love bug who will happily curl up next to you on the couch or keep you company in the chair beside you. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, snuggle-loving best friend, I think we might be perfect for each other.   Apply to meet me at www.buffalocares.org  Adoption fee: $425.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org.
