Story
Meet Avery 🐾 Hello, my name is Avery! I am a 4-year-old Labrador and Pit mix with a heart full of love to give. I was adopted from the Wake County Animal Shelter, where my owners and I met; and it was truly love at first sight. I’m a sweet, loyal, and well-trained girl who knows a few tricks and loves being around people. I am house-trained, gentle, and I really enjoy attention and affection. My current owners both work long shifts in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and even though they love me deeply, their schedules make it hard to give me the time and attention I deserve. They just want to make sure I find a home where I can get a little extra love and companionship. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, I would be so happy to meet you. Thank you for considering giving me my next forever home! ❤️

Story
I was returned to Colonial Capital Humane Society late 2023 when my owners moved and couldn’t take me with them. I am wary of new people but once I trust you, you’ve got a friend in me. I am gentle as they come and deserving of a great home.I am known for being goofy and love to splash in the water and mud. I love to go on walks and I’m excellent on a leash. My ideal family is one who is adventurous and active. Please visit our website, www.colonialcapitalhs.org to fill out an application today!
