Story
Lacey's ideal home would be one where she's not the only four-legged wrestler in the ring! She thrives in the company of other dogs and needs to have a canine companion who can keep up with her high-energy antics. Together, they'll engage in epic wrestling matches, chase each other around the yard, and engage in all sorts of doggy shenanigans. She is house trained and is working on her best manners! Lacey did live outdoors, so she is working on the manners part! Lacey is considered special needs because she takes daily Prozac. She is successful when she is both on meds and has another dog to burn energy and cuddle up with. She does NOT do well as the only dog, or when crated/kenneled. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash.

Story
Oaklynn, a 3 year old female English lab/Heeler mix, is Tucker's devoted shadow, following his lead with unwavering loyalty. While we'd love to see this bonded pair go home together, we understand taking home 2 big young energetic dogs may not be ideal for everyone! Oak has lived with kids ages 8+ and has been around kids of all ages. Oaklynn is working on building her confidence alone, and has made progress!
